“Awesome stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We were here for the maccabiah games so we had an extended stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. We had great help and advice from the Conceirge desk, particularly Micha who booked dinner for us most nights. The pool area is very busy, but its a great salt water pool and you need a pool in Tel Aviv in July

Easy access to the beach and all the main areas.

We were in a renovated room which was nicely done up and a reasonable size.

We would recommend the Hilton to anyone going to Tel Aviv

This used to be *the* hotel in Tel Aviv. Classy, good service, comfortable. Not any more. I found the people to work there quite rude. To start, when checking in there was confusion as to the type of room I was supposed to get. I asked the woman at reception to call the local travel agent who had arranged our trip and she responded, "You call her." When you get welcomed like that, you think it can only get better, but it didn't. Yes, the manager of customer relations sent us lovely trays of cookies and nuts along with a bottle of champagne after my travel agent complained. Frankly, that was nice of him, but I would rather there hadn't been a reason for him to do that.
The pool is insane. They have squeezed in hundreds and hundred of chairs onto a deck that simply cannot handle that number comfortably. Itzick, the manager of the pool who has been there for 30 years and is totally nice, told me they had to do it because the hotel is full. And yes, every one of those chairs was taken on Saturday, but it's certainly not a pleasant place to sit. And when I asked on Friday for chairs, I got the run around from one of the pool boys saying that I can't sit in this spot or in that spot on either Friday or Saturday because those spots are reserved for a "very important man and his family." Really? At $660 a night I'm not important???
The one nice thing is to see a couple of employees who have been there for many years still there. The pool manager, Itzick and the doorman, Menachem.
But two constant employees doesn't make this hotel anything close to what it was in the past. I'm kind of sad - I don't even know where to stay in Tel Aviv anymore. For years it was only the Hilton.

Dear Diane,

We are so sorry for the incident in reception during your arrival. It is only through valuable customer feedback that we can improve our services. We extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience with the crowded swimming pool during summer in a full hotel.

We will be sure to report your observations regarding the noise to the appropriate management. We know you have a variety of hotels to choose from, we are honored that you have selected Hilton Tel Aviv.

We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back in near future! We will do everything in our power to make your stay a pleasant one.

Best Regards.

This is a great place to stay if you can afford it. I always stay on the top floor and the luonge there is quite nice with a view you cannot beat. Unfortuantely, I have never been there long enough to enjoy the resort part of the hotel, but it looks very nice.

Great location, superb service, quiet at night, clean, incredible breakfast and warm management. Walking distance to the port, easy access to the beach, executive lounge almost always open, but the most important thing, they work to have you happy and enjoying vacations.

very good position, so so executive lounge, very noisy as too many kids stay there. first hotel gave us 8th floor room, strong smell, not executive floor room. after asking , they switch a executive floor room to us with a lot gifts: 2 bottles water, one big bottle gas water, one samll wine, one plate of fresh fruit and one bag of lotion.

hilton name impressed but this hotel is a bad sample in hiltons. you pay at least 300$ but get a 30 years old decorated room and not a great service. also the location is not very well it is far away from yafo where you can find traditional shops......

Thank you for filling out a review on Trip Advisor.

Please be advised that major refurbishments recently took place at the Hilton Tel Aviv. We have completed the renovations of the top 11 floors.
