“Best Hotel in Tel Aviv maybe the best in Israel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

The David Interconti is an exceptional property. I have had the good fortune to have stayed at all of the top hotels in Jersusalem and Tel Aviv over several years and the David stands out at the top for several reasons. Facilities: expansive and beautiful lobby, lounges on the second and 24th floors. The business lounge on the 24th is beyond compare. The best view in Israel and constantly changing food and drink, papers, magazines, computers and TV's. The pool is enormous and beautifully maintained. Staff: two folks at a separate concierge desk always ready to help and friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff that immediately make you feel welcome. Food; I have sampled Israeli breakfasts at the Inbal, King David, David Citadel, Mamilla, Carlton, Crowne Plaza and a bunch of others in the north. The Interconti breakfast has enourmous variety for dairy, fish, baked goods, cheeses as well as an omelette bar. The staff are fantastic and attentive at every sitting. Even though the Interconti is not as "central" as perhaps the Dan Tel Aviv, you get better and closer access to Jaffa, the Neve Tzedek shopping and the Tachana (old train station) areas. If you are looking for a top end hotel in Tel Aviv for business or pleasure, then in my opinion this is the place.

Room Tip: If you can get on the water side of the hotel the views are spectacular. All parts of the hotel are...

We traveled to Tel-Aviv in October 2012 and stayed at David InterContinental hotel for 7 nights.

The hotel was phenomenal; lobby was modern, functional, and clean. The receptionists and staff were friendly and welcoming, English speaking, were able to answer all our questions and make our stay very pleasant.
Our executive room was very large with a great view of the sea on the west, the city of Tel-Aviv to the north, Jaffa to the south. Room was spotless, comfortable furniture, great bed. Bath room was very large, ultra modern shower and bath tub, and it too was spotless.
The Breakfast buffet was the best we ever had; it had every possible food combination one can imagine, freshly made, and of high quality. I gained a few pounds due to breakfast alone.
The outdoor pool was large and clean, but we preferred the beach, across the street. Hotel was not far from the outdoor market place and a short taxi ride from any location in the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Spacious, well-appointed rooms with large bathrooms. Very comfortable, very soft mattresses.
Superb guest relations and concierge services. One of the most guest-friendly places I've ever stayed. Our room showed some signs of wear and needed a bit of paint. Extensive breakfast bar, but found it difficult to get a cup of coffee and refills. Newspapers available at breakfast.
No free wifi. Unthinkable in this day and age, particularly in a hotel like this.

Hi Ron C, thank you for your comments. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our staff make it a priority to give the best possible service to our guests. Regarding the issue of the WiFi, we have recently acquired 2 new iPads for our Atrium Lobby which are available to all of our guests. Alternatively, our Executive Lounge and Club Lounge offer computers with internet access as well. Our Inca Cigar bar also offers complimentary WiFi and our Atrium Lobby offers Happy Hour between 17:00-19:00 where you will be able to enjoy our beautiful sunset while surfing the net.
We often have special packages available for extended use of WiFi and all information is available at the Front Desk.

We work with an internet provider that specializes in providing WiFi for a large area such as our hotel. We are constantly looking into providing better service to our guests in this regard. We have found that our prices are consistent with those charged in other similar hotels.

We hope to welcome you back to our hotel again soon.

Stayed here on second part of my business trip to Tel Aviv. Things got off to shaky start when, after requesting room away from lifts, I was given a room that I soon realised backed onto the lifts ie noise every minute when lifts moved. I asked for a new room. Given one. Lovely, spacious, big, modern bathroom. And about 2/3 of cost of Hilton. Can't have any complaints (except maybe that they could do better with selection of TV channels in room).

I arrived at the hotel. Was denied access to the front door because 'There is a Thai Princess there and she needs security).
I was then sent to the lower entrance (servants?). No Valet. No Bell boy. Ended up simply leaving my car in front of the door.
When I checked in and complained, I received an apology, and a lecture about how I should not be upset.
Got to my room. My reservation was for a King size bed. What I got was two twin size beds pushed together.
Called to complain. Spoke with the manager. Was told that - "sorry we are oversold", and then "is there anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable?"

Stayed early October for 6 nights at the IC David Tel Aviv. From the moment we entered the hotel, around 23:30 in the night, we were welcomed by the smiling face of the Night Receptionist and after an efficient check-in we arrived at our room.

The room was spacious, clean and equipped with a very comfortable bed. The additional amenities in the room made us feel even more welcome! (Fruits, water and soda). The concierge lounge is a nice area to talk and discuss the daily trips you wanna do. We did the Death-Sea and Masada private tour, organized via the concierge and it was truly a wonderful day spend. Small mini-van driving us through the landscape of Israel and the guide informing us about the surrounding.

Every request we placed via the reception had a spotless follow-up through Guest Relations. This hotel really understands the service-attitude you can expect from a 5-star hotel.

The Club Lounge is worth the try, as there are snacks and drinks throughout the day and it serves a nice breakfast with nice view over the Tel Aviv coast line. The Club Lounge employees are keen on getting to know you. They even remembered the brand of beer we liked!

"Aubergine restaurant" showed us the fine aspects the Kosher Israeli kitchen can deliver. The taste and presentation of the food was innovatory! And again the staff was delivering the service with a wide smile.

We could not fault the hotel on any aspect, that's why we are convinced to say: The IC David Tel Aviv is "THE place to stay!".

As i enjoy all Intercontinental hotels, the one in Tel Aviv was as great as i expected. Huge lobby, many restaurants, huge parking and the location that is the best! Also , the concierge is totally separated which makes an extra comfort ! Just amazing hotel !

Room Tip: IF you can , get a room with a view to a sea!
