“Extreem.........”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

How extremely good is the food in this restaurant but how extremely loud is this place and how extremely bad is the service in this restaurant . Located above a fruit and vegetable market on a prime location on Tel Aviv beach . This place could realy be ideal for a romantic lunch or dinner but total lack of privacy as tables are very close to each other loud music and amateuristic rude and bad service is a real shame for the people working in the kithen , preparing food to a near perfection . Imaginative local cuisine with local produce infused with asian as european touches. Wine list is interesting with large choice of local and foreign wines , total price for a short stay in this restaurant was aceptable .

“Best of Tel Aviv Port”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

A winemaker/cookbook author friend suggested this restaurant. It was quite good and had the best service we've had during our trip to Israel.

At lunch we started with a sensational dish of sautéed calamari with curry yogurt foam great stuff and the squid was perfectly cooked. We also shared house baked breads with excellent olive oil. For our second course we had a pizza with cambonzola cheese and sautéed mushrooms. The tomato sauce and ingredients were first rate, but the crust needed work. Tasty but not cooked as much as I would have had my pizziola do it.

Great wine list concentrating on the best of the local Israeli wine scene. This restaurant would feel at home in NYC or SF or any other world class city. Great place to go for any occasion.

“Excellent food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

This is not a three stars restaurant but the quality of the food is very surprising compare to the environment. First I like sweetbreads and they have a peculiarly good way to make them. The restaurant is located on the port of Tel-Av iv and on the second floor. If you are lucky you get the view, if not you still have the food. We tried the carpaccio, the sweetbreads, the fish and the shrimps. All the dishes are new in the presentation and in the research of taste. The service is made by young people maybe informal but very pleasant and making sure to serve you as fast as possible. If you are on the port of Tel-aviv a good place to stop.

“Wonderful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

While attending a business meeting of 6, we had to luxury to try most of the dishes in this wonderful place. Located in the heart of Tel Aviv's port(old harbor), this beautiful restaurant resides over the farmer's market, and is facing the sea. The Tel Aviv port has been greatly renovated in the past 10 years. As a kid, my family used to own several pubs in the area, and the city re-invented the whole area greatly. Loads of restaurants, pubs, clubs, coffee shops, and a relatively big, modern boardwalk to roam about for miles, all available on the sea. As I said before, the restaurant is situated on top of the newly created farmer's market(small in size), in hangar 12(the port is divided by hangars). The decor is very pleasing to the eye, with windows facing outside to the promenade/sea and the farmer's market below. We sat at the VIP room, which holds several larger tables. There are 2 cooks in the VIP room, making most of the starters and thus, taking some action off the main kitchen. We began by ordering some alcohol and starters : blue cheese salad, mozzarella(buffalo)and tomatoes salad, some breads and spreads, a marvelous sashimi dish(very fresh)and another white fish. All were very good, but the Sashimi was exceptional. Of course, this was accompanied by more alcohol and beverages with a lovely atmosphere around us. Next, main courses, I chose the grilled lamb fillet, medium rare as I like it, with polenta and red win sauce. The meat was very good, yet the polenta was very average. We finished by sharing several deserts, again, most of them wee very good, but none was exceptional. I was very impressed with the restaurant, although a bit disappointed by the quality of the food. And by that, I don't mean it wasn't good. Everything was fresh and tasty, and I would definitely come back, but I expected exceptional food, and only 2-3 dishes were really really good. I must mention the design of the food, which was very appealing, but also reminded me of elitist culinary dishes, which is there to make you work the taste buds/palate and not necessary make you full(there's nothing wrong with that, btw). The service was very good for Israel, and the prices, well...not cheap at all, but that's to be expected. it was an enjoyable experience and is highly recommended. The place is suitable for couples, business meetings, family and friends, although I don't think kids would manage there. there are parking lots around the harbor, but be warned, you may want to reserve seats and arrive by taxi, as in weekends, the whole port is packed with people and there are no parking spaces available anywhere nearby.
