“A diamond in the sand”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2011

Hey guys,
I can really really really recommend this place for everyone, loving a cozy and comfortable pleace and even know to estimate a hotel, which is made with small details, funky vintage style furniture and open minded hotel staff, who´s not tired to help you and do you a favour quite uncomplicated.
the rooms have been very clean, the cleaning staff was very aware of it. even if you didn´t want them to clean up every day, they insisted of getting things in order, so that your place was always some kind of oasis,....felt like home not being at home.

the spot is perfect for trips to herzel st. or rotschild blvd, e.g. taking a 6 shekel-shevrut for headding up to the north, you can take it by 5min walk, beach is also 7-9min away and the view from the stylish as well rooftop is extraordinary,....while you can take a bath or even a shower, looking the sun going down over tel aviv´s coastline and getting dried on comfortable chairs or mattresses surrounded by a chilly mowtown lounge music, which welcomes you even by entering the hotel. by the way, entering the entrance is like jumping in cold water, very good working AC ;)

You´re having a spacious frig, can borrow flat iron or you can even choose, where you wanna have your breakfast between 3 enormous friendly places just some minutes away from the hotel. breaksfast is until 12am !!!

don´t wanna be arrogant, but if you wanna spent a good time in a really nice, cozy and perfect place, take this spot. If you want to have some kind of a luxury reference telling your local friends where to stay and getting them jealous, take this spot, you´ll never regret. Because at the end, checking out and going home feels like leaving your godd friends.

Albeit the room was small, it was furnished to give the feeling of comfort.
The most comfortable beds since Crowne Plaza. Underground parking is a big plus. I also like the idea of choosing my breakfast bistro.
24/7 cookies/cakes and teas and coffee in the MOST comfortable lounge. Unique library insitu. Nice back yard space for hanging around.
Small, intimate and very friendly staff. They were there in minutes to solve any problem. I'll certainly recommend and return
Free WIFI is appreciated and not to be taken for granted in the better hotels in Tel Aviv

The good:
- can't beat the location if you like to be in a bit of a boheme neighborhood
- clean and nicely decorated rooms
- staff is young good-looking and very friendly
- free coffee and cookies 24h

The not-so-good:
- rooms are small
- I had a room on 2nd floor and outside in the hall, music was playing constantly, not sure if it came from one of the staff rooms
- there is a construction site close by, although during my stay it created very little noise, the view was just the contrary of nice

Still would recommend the place, as I had a good time there

Dear PeterS9999,

thanks for taking the time to post this review.

We're happy to hear that you would recommend the Brown TLV, and that you enjoyed the hotel's location and staff, the design and cleanliness of our rooms, as well as our complimentary coffee stand in the lobby and the free internet access throughout the hotel.

Our Classic rooms are indeed urban-sized, but nevertheless offer great comfort and style.
Should you wish to stay in a bigger room for extra space, we suggest to book a Deluxe or Relax room.

Music is part of our hotel. We're surprised to hear that it disturbed you, since we lower the volume during the night. We'd like to apologize for this inconvenience, and mention our 24/7 front desk, that gladly takes care of any request, any time.

The construction site next to the hotel is actually a building from 1923, and was declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site. We're sorry for the temporary inconvenience during its preservation and re-construction process, but are sure that the outcome of this project will add a lot of charm to our street and the urban view from our rooms.

The Brown Hotel is a beautiful, sleek, clean hotel in a fantastic location in Tel Aviv. Around the corner from the Shuk and Craft's Market, the location is amazing. The rooms, although a bit small, are beautifully furnished and above all, are incredibly clean. The staff at the Brown Hotel was extremely helpful in providing restaurant recommendations, providing us with laundry services and answering all other questions relating to Tel Aviv. The complimentary breafast (you can choose from two restaurants) was wonderful. We would definitely stay at the Brown Hotel again.

What can I say that the others haven't already? Clean, serviceable, funky, spacious, staff that really care & go the extra mile for you. I wish there were Brown Hotels everywhere, the attention to detail is amazing and the bed is like a cloud. Heaven after a heavenly massage.

Room Tip: Try and pick a room away from the lift

I visit Tel Aviv at least twice a year, and while I love the city I have always been disappointed by the hotels. Until now. Other hotels I've stayed at have been mediocre, shabby and overpriced. And that includes the David Intercontinental.

Brown is simply outstanding. First of all, the location couldn't be better. The contemporary design of the rooms, the lobby and common areas is gorgeous. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. And the service is outstanding. The best I've encountered in Israel. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful.

Instead of the typical hotel breakfast, you get breakfast at a nearby cafe, which is really fantastic. I understand that the hotel will soon begin serving its own breakfast, and I have high expectations for that too...

And then there's the price. I've paid twice as much for far, far less satisfaction. I have no idea how they are able to offer that much at such reasonable prices. I assume it's partly because the rooms are very small. That is absolutely fine with me. If you're in Tel Aviv and spending enough time in your room to worry about the size of it then you're doing something wrong. Your hotel room is for sleeping. Spend the rest of the time enjoying this fabulous city.

Brown is on a par with the best boutique hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world. I recommend it wholeheartedly. In fact, I am returning in October with several friends for an event, and I will insist that we all book at Brown.

Obvioulsy that this is not a resort-style hotel. There is no pool, for example (although there is a spa). If you're traveling to Tel Aviv with children a boutique hotel may not be the best choice. Otherwise, you are a short walk from the beach, and a short cab ride from a lovely public pool (Gordon Pool), so don't worry about it.

I'm almost sorry I'm writing this review because I'd prefer Brown to remain an undiscovered gem, so I can keep it to myself. But, ultimately, this level of excellence deserves to be rewarded.

My wife & I stayed a weekend at the hotel. The location is great, at the midle of Tel-Aviv, and quiet street. The hotel is designed and decorated wonderfully. They thought about all the little details.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
We will recommend this hotel to all our friends, and certainly come again
