My partner and I spent nine days in Tel Aviv at The Diaghilev Live Art Hotel in April 2014. The hotel is perfectly located, just two blocks off the lively Rothschild Blvd, and not far from Shienken Street and the fun Carmel Market. Our one-bedroom suite was very large and comfortable with large windows. The hotel has a lovely bar/cafe on site, and they have different lectures on interesting topics every week. The staff here is outstanding! From the moment we walked in the front door we were treated with such wonderful friendliness and helpfulness. We felt right at home and instantly fell in love with the staff. They had terrific suggestions for places to go, how to best get to Jerusalem without a car, and many other helpful suggestions. The owner is a delightful, energetic woman who also sings and writes her own music, and she performed a lovely concert for us in the lounge, as she does every Monday night. I could not have asked for a better experience. This was our first trip to Israel, and the staff at The Diaghilev helped make it an amazing one. We have definite plans to return to Israel, and will definitely stay at this hotel again.
