This is one of the trendiest places in Tel Aviv. We are always suspicious about these "posh" restaurants, where the waiters seem to be doing you a favour. However, the Tzfon Abraxas was a breath of fresh air: delicious simple food, prepared with fresh and tasteful ingredients.
This place is divided in two: a bar and a restaurant. If seated at the bar's counter, one can see the chef(s) preparing the food in the open kitchen.
When looking at the menu, the first thing one notices is the simplicity of the dishes: they are all based on local and fresh products and all of rather simple preparation. Nevertheless don't be fooled by this, as each dish is a master piece of taste. We had the chick peas bruscheta, pizza with sardines and the beef carpaccio, all wonderful.
Although the restaurant was not full, the service was slow. And don't be surprised if they will toss the salt on your table... this is part of the 'refined' style of the place.
