“Just what I needed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2010

After a delayed flight and the usual security hassles at Ben Gurion airport it was a relief to find this hotel not too far from the airport. The place was calm and spotlessly clean, the staff efficient and friendly, the shower washed off all that travel grime and I fell into bed. We only stayed one night before moving down to Gaza, but the hotel is a great stopover location.

I arrived very ill with a cold or virus and this hotel was so clean , beautifully decorated, and very quiet that it was a huge relief to be able to recooperate there before my 12 hr. flight which left the next day at midnight.
I asked if I could check out later because of being so ill and Yeleena said she would check with the manager next day. When I called the next morning she was there and knew I had not been to breakfast ( complimentary ) yet and encouraged me to come and eat.
They let me stay until 5PM ( very grateful ) and arranged for a cab ( complimentary ) at the time I needed. Also, hotel is not far from airport. I thought the price was very fair as well!

Took us forever to book a hotel coz we kinda like these boutique hotels, trendy and new and such hotels in Israel are very expensive. Sadot Hotel is a fantastic hotel for a great price. Trendy design, big rooms by Israeli standard, very clean, excellent excellent beds (the twin room has two beds of 90x200). Great airco, nice enough shower, a small kitchenette with a fridge and coffee thingies... basically all the joy that a new hotel can bring!

Free parking btw!
Free safe in the room

The guests in the hotel were mostly business travelers and the hotel has 30 something rooms so it's kinda quiet.

I agree with the comment by Surkes about finding the hotel. First you have to get your way onto highway 40 and hope you don't miss your turnoff as you won't be able to easily turn around as everything seems to be a freeway in the area.

Once you're on highway 40 (and hopefully heading in the right direction) the hotel is difficult to spot. I drove right past it, eventually stopping at a gas station to get directions. Remembering that the hotel is near the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center really helps in getting directions as Sadot hotel isn't a local landmark :).

Once you've made the proper turn off of highway 40, finding the hotel is still a bit of a challenge unless you know that its in the mall. Note that there is underground parking in the mall. The hotel will give you a stamp to validate your parking for your stay.

Overall my stay at the hotel was comfortable. A nice boutique hotel with a unique shopping mall location (the hotel has its own level :)).

Hotel Sadot is about 15 minutes from Ben Gurion airport. They have a shuttle to the airport but nothing from the airport so you must find another way, e.g. taxi.

Facilities are modern and the complimentary breakfast exceptionally pleasing. Free internet that works well.

The hotel itself occupies the third floor of a modern building. The ground floor is a very small shopping center with food court. The second floor is a hospital.

Dear Sir,
I saw your review. thank you for taking the time to comment and thank you for your kind words.
However there is a miscorrection regarding the location of the hospital: the hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a shopping center which is on the 0 floor. the first floor and the second floor are empty. to go to the hospital you have to exit the building and go by foot or by car further inside.

Thank you
Eran

Positives: Nice large, clean, new, rooms very comfortable. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and a surprise late afternoon snack/coffee bar. For me the location was great because all of my business and visits were within 15 km from the hotel. Pricing seemed more competitive then similar hotels I stayed in Israel in past visits.

Negatives: Takes a time or two to figure out the parking/access. When leaving the parking structure you take a tour (sometimes a slow tour) around the large hospital complex to get to the highway. Occationally the pass from the hotel did not open the gate leaving the parking area.

Special word on location: If you have a car and know Israel pretty well, this is the perfect location. If you are a first time tourist, note that this hotel is NOT in Tel Aviv but in a rural area (despite the huge hospital and very large army base nearby) so you will not be able to take in the sights simply by leaving the hotel and taking a walk.

This brand new hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport on the third floor of a little mall. The rooms are lovely and clean with bed, couch and two flat screen t.v.s. The service was great. Yelena at the front desk kept calling my airline company for me until she got someone when there was some confusion about my flight in the recent snow storms in the US. A glitch in the heating was quickly and efficiently resolved. Breakfast was a perfectly adequate Israeli-style breakfast. The free shuttle service to the airport was right on time. The price at $125 make this a terrific deal.
