5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

I flew from Eilat to Tel Aviv...and had 12 hours between my flight home....TA to Newark...that night. The thought of hangin out in the TA airport was daunting...so I stayed here...and when i retrun to TA, I'lll stay here. Great place, great location, modest price and near everything....I just wish it were possible to eat more pizza and halvah...

Good value for money, although it did not offer breakfast! The best receptionist ever, Anastasia - a sweet loving lady always ready to help at all times! She gave her maps and all information we needed to have a pleasant stay and besides that made calls to the tourism agency ant taxi! She works with love and should definitely be thanked a million times by her boss!

Room Tip: Good value for money!

We had only one night here. Small but comfortable and well-equipped rooms in a central location in Tel Aviv. Breakfast (included) at a pleasant local cafe. Parking is difficult as common in Tel Aviv. NB the hotel is not in Allenby St but in the parallel Hillel HaZaken St, not easy to find in Tel Aviv's one way system.

Just spent one day there. We have come very early and the check in was 2 PM. We have left the luggage there and come back at 1.30 and the room was free.
The room was very small (just some square meters) and decorated in Russian style (full of carpets everywhere; the walls are also old schools covered with paper wall). But of the room was really very, very small. I think claustrophobic people can have issues here.
We had a meal plan, but we did not eat there because our back to home flight was very early in the morning.
The good thing about this hotel is the central locations. Streets around hotel were full of nightlife. Also the proximity to the beaches (around 10 minutes walking)
conclusion: definitely is not a long term stay hotel. For travelers spending 1-2 nights there is ok, but for more nights for sure you will miss a need of extra comfort.

Two friends aged 25 travelling for vacation. Perfect location, super close to carmel market, maximum 10 min to beach, many shops and restaurants around. Most staff were very very friendly helpful and service minded, reallly good service. the carpet om the floor in room quite dirty but otherwise good cleanliness. Absolutely worth the money, if you don't expect a hotel with loads of facilities.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We stayed for one night in August 2013. We arrived early so weren't able to check-in, but were able to leave our bags at the front desk. The front desk clerk highlighted on the map the various markets that were close by (ie. VERY close) and a recommended coffee shop. Later on after check-in, they were also helpful with restaurant recommendations for dinner.

We loved the location - its a bit of a walk to the beach, but very close to the markets - which we were lucky enough to be there on Friday, so got to go to the Artisan's market which we found much more enjoyable than the Carmel market. The rooftop with the tables and chairs was also very nice. The coffee shop where they provide the voucher for breakfast, was very good - we visited twice. The front-desk arranged a taxi for the airport and was very clear not to pay more/tip, etc.

The room was average but clean - the walls and carpets highlighted the age of the hotel. We also didn't like that there was no additional lock on the room door (ie. deadbolt or even just latch/chain) - earlier in the evening, everytime the neighbours went to open their door, it sounded as though someone was trying to get into our room, and given there was no lock from the inside, this kept us up. It is a small hotel - so make sure to have a map to highlight to any drivers - as no taxi driver that we had (or friends had) knew where it was, as it is a small hotel and not on the main drag. Given the small rooms and old

Given the prices of other hotels in the city, we were happy with our choice for our overnight stay.
