“Top notch service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

This is a modern and nice hotel in the heart of Jerusalem. Rooms are smallish, but the service and wonderful attitude of the staff more than make up for it. Very pleasant stay.

This hotel must think of itself as a small boutique hotel. I would prefer a hotel where the front desk is helpful & doesn't say 'no' continually when you ask for directions, do you have change for a larger shekel bill, can you ... anything??
The breakfast is not great either. Not alot of choices & their coffee machine was not working some days.
The worst was when we were in the lobby waiting for a ride to the airport we watched 4 people trying to get their luggage back that the hotel "held" for them after checkout. The hotel was having alot of trouble finding the luggage. After found & put on a cart to take out of the hotel, NO ONE at the hotel tried to help load the multiple pieces of luggage into the taxi. The guests had to lug their own luggage. Sadly, this sight was not surprising.
The location is great, but it "ain't worth it".
We stayed at the Dan Panorama earlier on the same trip & the contrast in attitude was startling!

I stayed here as part of a tour of Israel. The location was decent although it was about a 15-20 minute walk to Ben Yehuda. There were some restaurants and a laundry mat close by. The breakfasts included champagne and a man playing the piano. The gift shop was very reasonable. They do charge for the internet.

I have stayed at the Prima Royale twice, within a 1 1/2 year period. It is consistently a nice and quiet place to stay, off the beaten path, but close to the main shopping area (10 minute walk). The food is great, and there is a great selection of kosher delicacies. They have one of their elevators programmed for Shabbat, and the other for non-Jewish guests. They do not offer their own internet service, and instead, have a contracted provider, which is a little frustrating for those who are not super computer literate...

Room Tip: We had a good side view of the street, quiet...I was with a group tour, so rooms were assigned rando...

I would not quite classify this hotel as 'boutique' but it is well located, the service is good and the rooms are perfectly nice. Time spent in Jerusalem would rarely be spent in a hotel and this is a good place to rest and relax in-between sightseeing. Was there for work alas and would certainly recommend this place for a business trip.

This is the third time we've stayed here, the last being 12 years ago. The area around the hotel is lovely and it's conveniently located for buses into town etc. It's also a quiet and clean area and there are beautiful gardens nearby. The hotel charges for wifi which we found annoying as every cafe and restaurant doesn't, and neither did the small boutique hotel in Tel Aviv. The staff, though polite enough, were not quite as helpful as the ones in Tel Aviv, and certainly not as knowledgeable either.

Just returned from another visit to the Prima Royale. If you are looking for a clean hotel, centrally located, with good service, then this is the place! Some nice touches include live music in the lobby in the evening and a live pianist every morning for breakfast. The breakfast is both plentiful and tasty. The front desk was both courteous and helpful. I have stayed here many times and is always my first choice for a moderately priced hotel in Jerusalem.
