“Good Location if Your Are Not Lazy for Walking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2011

Location quite good - just 20 minutes walking distance from Old City of Jerusalem. The district where is the hotel located is quiet. In contrary to Arabic quarter of Jerusalem.

Room size a little cozy for 2 persons (abt. 13-14 sq.m). Breakfast quite wide menu but taste not good as elsewhere in Israel.

Staff - quite rough but tried to be friendly. When I asked for some travel information, like tours to Dead Sea or Masada, or rate for taxi or renting a car the staff gave me either wrong answer or they just didn't know.

Therefore, my advise is take good guide for Jerusalem and find good map for the city. What you get in the hotel or in Tourist information is some sort of misleading. Maps are big problem for the city.

The hotel room was laid out in such a way that the parents and children (two in our case, ages 8 and 6) each had our own space. The room wasn't huge, but it was comfortable. Each day the hotel staff put snacks in our room. The bathroom was relatively large and had a tub (which, I discovered, is not often the case in Israel or Europe). The breakfast was outstanding! There must have been at least 50 things to choose from, and they were good. I was impressed enough to take the time to tell the hotel manager that I really liked our stay here at the end of it (sadly, only two nights).

We booked this hotel for our daughter, who was coming in from NY for Succot, Tabernacles. (Hila, the manager, was very cooperative with our travel agent). We, the parents, were going to stay with a friend and eat meals at the hotel. When we got to our apartment, the key did not fit and we did not know what to do. We went over to the hotel and explained the situation to Taha at the Concierges Desk, and he was most helpful. We slept in the room and our daughter went to her sister.
We found the room clean and modern and the bathroom updated and spotless. They kept the dining room open late and those who went to sevices were able to eat breakfast in the succah. We had a delicious lunch, even getting whole wheat items when they weren't on the table.
Would recommend this hotel, which is "down the block" from the center of town for its hospitality and courtesy.

During a recent group tour to Israel we stayed at the Prima Royale Hotel. The rooms were very small and access to luggage was limited by the available space. If we had not been with an active tour group, the room would have been completely inadequate for us. Beds were narrow and moderately comfortable. But the room was neat and tidy. Showers were difficult to warm at night. Buffet dinner on arrival was very good. Piano music at breakfast was delightful. The gift shop is quite nice. The proximity to the Old City is the best feature of the hotel.

Room Tip: If you're apt to be in a hurry, choose the first floor. Elevators are slow

We just returned from Jerusalem and stayed at the Prima Royale in a Junior Suite Accessible. The room was large enough to park my scooter in the corner. We found that there was not enough lighting. The beds were very uncomfortable. The room also needed some updating. The breakfast was great....lots of choice regardless of your tastes with wonderful fresh dates. The location is wonderful. Close to the Old City, Jaffa Gate and the Mamilla Mall. Several lovely restaurants in the area within walking or scootering distance. This is definitely a "tour bus" hotel. We had dinner the night we arrived which was fine. Nothing fancy but certainly lots of choice. This is a perfect hotel if you are going to be out all day touring and just need a place to sleep.
