“Best falafel and hummos in the old city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

You can't beat the value of this lunch. For 90 shekels, five of us ate like kings. Incredible hummus and ME sides. Service was friendly. Decor is basic. But you are not here to look. You are here to eat.

“Over-rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

Restaurant was recommended by Lonely Planet. Food was acceptable but nothing special. Got the impression that they wanted us to leave quickly to accommodate more patrons.

“avoid those tourist trap restaurant around and join the locals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

visiting the old city of Jerusalem and its sacred sites don't miss that intimate hidden jewel.
my friend and I were on our way to the via dolorosa when we saw mothers standing in a queue with their children and buying falafel and hummus packed in boxes as a "take away" lunch. we decided to trust locals. the welcoming person who stood behind the stall invited us to enter the little restaurant. just 4 tables and all the vegetarian typical Arabic low-tech food is neatly prepared in front of the customer. try it and you will not regret. avoid those crowded tourist trap restaurants around, and join the locals for a tasty and... cheap experience.
