“Nice hotel but has lots of glitches to work out.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

I stayed there for a week in October. THe breakfast across the street was not that good. Go to a local place for great coffee and bagels. They say that the hotel will have a breakfast room in the future. The internet keep going down. There was multiple problems with the television. I did not have any English channels and when I complained they said they were working on it. The room was clean but they forgot to clean it one day, but came back to do it. The bar fridge was not working properly so they moved it to under the desk. The safe would not lock and the hotel provided me with a key. DO you think that was safe? I complained at the desk about the television and WIFI. The man told me to speak to Jennie. He got Jennie on the phone and she was so rude that she made me cry. They promised me a 10% discount. NOT.

Room Tip: My room was roomy, but the bathroom shower was tiny and there was not place to put my cosmetics.

The location of this hotel is what makes it excellent! You can walk to Jaffa gate in 15 minutes, the market in 2 minutes, to the shopping district in 5 minutes. The best part is that the hotel is kept clean and the price is excellent!

The breakfast was not the best, however, there is not to complain about if you get all of the things above for the very reasonable price.

I strongly recommend Agripas Boutique hotel.

I arrived at the Agripas at around 10am in the morning from an international flight, and asked if I could do an early check-in. The receptionist said that, although the room was clean and ready, I would have to pay $50 extra for the privilege. I agreed, being tired and wanting to rest. If the room was not available or ready, or if the hotel had to make special accommodations for me, then I can see how I should pay extra. However since the room was waiting for me, arriving a few hours early should not have meant paying extra.

The room itself was clean and modern, but quite small. Amenities in the room were provided in the absolute minimum. For example, there was a single tiny soap in the bathroom, and no hairdryer (one has to ask for anything extra, and I'm sure they'll make you pay). The bathroom is very small, but clean and manageable.

The most this hotel does in terms of providing 'extra' for their guests is a small coffee machine and some milk on the second floor. Not even a biscuit is offered to guests. The breakfasts are not given in the hotel itself, and you have to walk across the road to the Lev Yerushalayim. This is not really a big deal. Some of the staff are quite friendly, and others are just doing their job.

The location of the hotel is quite good, in that it is very near Jaffa street, which will take you to the Old City. It is very near one of the trams on Jaffa street, which is very useful. It is also a few minutes' walk to the Mechana Yehuda market in the other direction, which is an incredible experience.

Overall, I would not stay here again. For the same price I'm sure you could find better.

Be careful with the safe! When we arrived it was closed and one of the staff came to fix it... They gave us a key to open it and went for dinner. When we were back our money was not there anymore!
The breakfast is in another hotel...
Only 4 spaces for parking and on Saturdays the room is not cleaned.
What else can I say!

When you say "Boutique hotel" - you think about a good, comfortable & pampering hotel.
This in not the case in this hotel.
The rooms are small, the bathroom is far from being indulging - very basic room.
The hotel has a very small and uncomfortable lobby - with free tea and coffee, which were of a cheap quality. Very small packing.
The staff is extremely friendly!!
No restaurant in the hotel and if you take B&B you'll have to go to a near by hotel to eat breakfast.
The hotel is perfect because of its location - near the market and near the most touristy places - in the heart of Jerusalem.
If you choose this hotel it will be because of the location and because of the cost. If you are looking for a luxury hotel - this is not the hotel.
If you come to Jerusalem for site seeing, night life and want really to feel Jerusalem - this is the place.

Room Tip: Don't take the breakfast - only if it's Saturday. You can find excellent places for coffee...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and were so shocked when we walked into our room. Because it was so cheap we were expecting it to be a bit grubby but it was a beautiful room! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was always amazing. It is also in a great location with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and is only a 15 minute walk to the Western Wall. If I visit Jerusalem again I will definitely be staying here again! The only drawback was there wasn't much privacy with the bathroom as the door was frosted glass and only had a plastic seal. Other than that it was perfect!
