“Very nice atmosphere, very mediocre food - change the chef!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Restobar supplies a very nice, cosy atmosphere. the service is fine, the location is excellent, and the overall ambiance - extremely inviting. But the quality of the food is indeed problematic. "New dishes" on the menu, are sometimes inedible. We tried "Salmon on the palancha with Japanese style salad", which was indeed bad; no connction between the Salmon and the poor, so-called "Japanese salad". other dishes were mediocre. As this is a constant state in Restobar, I recommend to change the chef.

“Drink across from Bibi's house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Yeah, I had to write that as the title. Anyway, this is pretty much the only decent place in central Jerusalem open on Friday and Saturday, and frankly those are the nights I found it really hopping. The food is decent, the wines by the glass are good and well-priced, and the free shots come, well, freely. Very fun staff, and you'll catch all the protests across the street as a bonus.

“Burgers and beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Hip place, great location, good food, good beer list. Half price beer at different times. We've been lucky to get in even without a reservation.

A very nice centrally located restaurant and bar, with a wide and tasty selection . The ambient is very inviting, staff friendly and efficient.

“fun, trendy (for jslm), good food and open friday nights and saturday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

This is my shabat bar -- its open friday nights and saturdays. A great spot for brunch, a burger, coffee or a beer. The food is pretty good, the staff are fun, helpful and young (rare in jerusalem). I really like their brunch. There are a couple small areas for improvement: for some reason, they insist on having ketchup and mustard in little packets, which means you have to open a bunch. They also don't have proper mustard, only bad american yellow mustard. The service is nice, but can be slow and inattentive (waiters will start eating at the bar, forgetting customers). Finally, they tend to play dated music. I don't need to hear bon jovi or phil collins when in such a nice place. But overall a great find.
