“Arthur is a perfect boutique hotel in Jerusalem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

I stayed two days at the Arthur hotel (part of Atlas hotels' chain) in Jerusalem city center. It is indeed the best hotel I could ask for, in order to feel the beat of Jerusalem and get to know it better. The hotel is new and beautiful and it is truly excellent. Thanks.

The Arthur has it all--perfect location, lovely help including Hadar and Dana, in addition to Eli, who provided a genuinely on-target restaurant recommendation (Mona, try it!). Very welcoming, a good breakfast, not over the top but everything you want. A happy hour is also welcoming, great cafes nearby, as well as the Jaffa tram. The rooms: well thought out, a lot of space, a sweet balcony that could use a table, a washroom that is truly first class, with all the amenities, a closet and safe and fridge. Excellent value; two friends have already said they will stay there. This is the place to go. Visited the sister hotel Harmony too at Happy Hour, where you can also go, it also looks like a nice spot. We liked this place a lot!

Room Tip: We were in 601--try that one.

Stayed at this boutique hotel and found a gem in the heart of Jerusalem minutes from the Old City. Staff is incredibly attentive, and accommodating. Hotel is emaculate, rooms well appointed and the beds as good as at home. Great breakfast selection, and complimentary happy hour. General Manager hands on, clearly leads staff by example. The only option for our next trip to Jerusalem.

The Harmony was my favorite hotel in Jerusalem, now I think it is a tie between these 2 sister hotels. I was at the Arthur the weekend of June 20 and had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast and afternoon reception are excellent. The staff is very helpful & professional.

I am usually skeptical about any website's top rated properties because I feel they must inevitably be overrated. This was not the case with the Arthur.

Pros:
-Friendly and helpful front desk staff
-Thorough, efficient, friendly housekeeping staff
-Lovely location not far from the old city and near to lively restaurants and shops
-Quiet, clean rooms with comfortable beds
-Civilized happy hour with wine and snacks in the restaurant/cafe area
-Nice outdoor terrace for breakfast

Cons:
-None worth mentioning!

The Arthur hit the right notes: Good value, cosy without being precious, friendly. We would have stayed another week if we could have. If other Atlas Hotels are like this, we will stay in them in future in Tel Aviv (where good hotels are notoriously difficult to find at reasonable prices).

Room Tip: Upper floors facing towards the pedestrian street have views over the rooftops

Our taxi driver had trouble locating the hotel as it is down a small no entry road, so we had a little walk with our bags after he had dropped us off on a main road. Great location for walking to the old City of Jerusalem which took about 15 minutes and walking to the market about 10 minutes. Our room was quite small but comfortably and tastefully furnished. Although we were disappointed we did not have a larger room with balcony on the front of the hotel, the hotel is situated in a quite lively small street with open air restaurants and cafes and may have been noisy. Breakfast was plentiful varied and self service, with a small terrace for eating breakfast outside if you wished. Good free wifi access and helpful reception staff. The complimentary refreshments late afternoon/early eve were a nice little treat too, after a hot day out.

Room Tip: If you want a large room, you may want to specify that.

this place has a very central location, not noisy, helpful staff, and not too expensive for the market. the buffet breakfast is very good and they have a pleasant dining/sitting room and a quaint little courtyard in the back as an additional dining space. My only complaint is that the coffee was lukewarm no matter how many times the staff was asked to bring fresh hot coffee. i believe they tried but their machine somehow just doesn't produce hot coffee. There was also occasionally a bad smell from the toilet.Rooms are nicely decorated even though they are small. Ihad a very pleasanst stay and recommend the hotel.
