“A character of its own”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

Sometimes the various parts of the old city of Jerusalem seen to jam together with no clear distinction as to when you're leaving one quarter and entering another quarter. So it is with the Armenian quarter. Although there are more churches here and the area is generally cleaner than the Muslim quarter, the shops here sell many of the same souvenirs you can find in other quarters of the old city, plus household goods and clothing for the locals. Small restaurants and coffee houses mix in with these shops. Just walk around and absorb the ambiance.

“Relaxing cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2012

Just alongside of St Jacques Cathedral is the lovely outside covered lunch and cafe eating area, which although there are many outside eating areas in the old city, this is the only one I found that felt a little private, and quiet. Only sorry I found it the last day of my visit, or I would have started every morning with coffee there.
