“One of the best regarding the exhibitions' rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Great architecture, it was almost empty except for the temporary exhibition, excellent display of artifacts, guards were very friendly and informative, shop is interesting but they should make different catalogs for the different archaeological sections/peoples

“Dead Sea Scrolls but confusing museum layout”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We loved seeing the Dead Sea Scrolls. The layout of the museum was a bit confusing but once we found our way to the Shrine of the Book, it was worth the search.

“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We had no idea how much was at the Israel Museum. We went to see the exhibit on Herrod-and found a museum with modern art, sculpture garden, and a wide variety of other exhibits. We got to see the Dead Sea scrolls-a real treat. The museum is modern and a real gem.

“Check out the new Herod Exhibit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

In addition to its regular outstanding exhibits, the new restoration of Herod tomb is worth the trip. Make sure you get the self guide to hear the curator's insights

“Israel Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

While the Museum was amazing, with so many interesting things to see, the layout is terribly confusing and the map is of little help. Seeing the Dead Sea Scrolls and the other artifacts that were hundreds and even thousands of years old made it very worthwhile.
