a friend of mine convinced me to join her up on the mount of olives a few days ago, and i have to say, wow. never been there before (besides a quick lookout, which doesn't really count) and didn't really have any desire to go, but i really ended up enjoying myself!

we did the tour with sandemans new europe (the people who do the free tour of the old city, leaves fom jaffa gate at 2:30pm) and really had a great time! it was so quiet & peaceful up there, and our guide was just so knowledgeable... mostly all christian sites, so it wasn't really places i had learned about before which was really interesting...

definitely wear some good shoes--the walk down was petty steep, don't think i could have done it with flip flops! and water is a must in the heat!!

anyways, great tour, just wanted to pass on the recommendation! :)
