“Highlight of tour of Israel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Politically alive, religiously debated, a tad too touristy, but filled with atmosphere, fun, and interesting people. Not cheap though (food, drinks)

“Very interesting and exciting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

A lot of places to see. Just walked and found the places, like an African village near Via Dolorosa, a place where you can buy special fabrics, etc.

“One of the most fascinating places in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

I have walked in the Old City more times than I can remember and have gone on many guided tours as I live in Jerusalem. Still, there is so much history here that I have to admit I only know a small fraction of its lively and colorful past. It's best to go on a guided tour as there is only so much you can absorb through reading.. it also easy to get lost in its many winding streets and alleyways. Major sites are the Kotel or Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the roof of the Austrian Hospice for great views. If you can to the Temple Mount to see the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqusa Mosque (often not accessible to tourists). David's Citadel Museum has a good exhibit on its history and in the evenings often screens a fantastic film on Jerusalem's history, its projected onto the walls of the museum and is just beautiful...

“Jerusalem needs to be on your bucket list.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Jerusalem felt safe but was pretty hectic so would recommend a tour at least the first time so you've got a feel. We did a tour with Isram tours from Tel Aviv which was ok. It was a pretty disorganised pickup process in Tel Aviv, but once you got through that the tour was ok. The mini vans were comfortable and were better than some of the buses we saw which just had massive groups. The old sites of Jerusalem were worth seeing for the historical aspect, as was the holocaust museum.
