“PRIMA PARK. JERUSALEM.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

Hotel Staff are "EXCELLENT"!! Good quality Customer care all round.. from the Reception, through the Restaurant attenders to the Cleaners (this is rare anywhere)!!! "Spoilt-for-choice" food options...beware of greed (I couldn`t help myself, lol). Rooms are exceptionally clean and fair sized. This Hotel is in West Jerusalem, and to get to Damascus Gate (where you start making your way to The Church Of The Holy Sepulcher), take the Train (8mins walk) to the Train Station, Kiryat Moshe. It costs 6.90 Shekels one way (about £1:10). Remember to dial 012 then your Country Code to dial out of Israel. The Dining area/Restaurant is a beauty to behold. I MUST STRESS HERE THAT "ALL" THE FOOD HERE TASTE GOOD!! Excellent Chefs, Restaurant attendants, Reception and Management. Visited on my own on 7/03/2014 - 09/03/2014, my Room was 301 (spotless and refreshing), but will surely come back with my family. Buffet Dinner is available for 120 Shekels, and a Glass of Wine is 25 Shekels. An EXCELLENT hotel all round, but I missed English speaking News Stations....and that`s my fault. AWESOME, BEAUTY, FAMILY FRIENDLY, EAGERNESS TO ASSIST AND WARMTH ARE WHAT YOU GET HERE. All your trips "CAN" be organised here at the Front Desk! "NO SERIOS FAULTS!!!

Room Tip: No Swimming Pool!!

Wow !

Thank you for posting your kind words about our hotel; one of the nicest things for a hotel to hear is that our guests enjoyed their stay and all of the hotel facilities.
We especially loved that you were able to enjoy the hotel location, our service and that you loved that you were able to enjoy our dinning services and meal - we will complement the chef :-)
Your comment about the location and transportation is very helpful to our future guests.
We hope you will be returning to stay with us in Jerusalem soon.

I stayed at the Prima Park Hotel for 6 nights in February/March 2014. I was here already back in 2011 (before it has been renovated).

ROOM -- My room was in the 5th floor and has been completely renovated recently. It was not very big but very nice, clean and comfortable (see pics). Furniture: My room had two separate beds, two chairs and two tables. There was an automatic air-condition, an electric water boiler, a small refrigerator, a safe and a TV. However, there were not to many channels (several Israeli "HOT" programs in English, 2 Russian, 2 French, 1 German but not in the best quality and unfortunately, no news channel like CNN, Euronews or BBC World News).

FOOD -- I booked half board which was a good decision. Breakfast is dairy with pastry, quark ("white cheese") and some indefinable "yellow cheese" which doesn't have real taste. There is a good variety of bread, freshly made salads and vegetables on breakfast and dinner. For the main course there is always good meat and fish together with rice, potatoes etc (could be a little warmer). The desserts (parve/dairy-free cakes and other sweet stuff) are not so impressive, I would have preferred more fresh fruits. Very recommendable is the food on Shabbath (Friday evening, Saturday lunch).

LOCATION -- The hotel is located 2 minutes away from light rail (tram) station "Kiryat Moshe" which takes you directly downtown. Walking to the "Jerusalem Central Bus Station" only takes about 6-7 minutes. However, if you want to be near the old city, it may not be the best choice. The surroundings of the hotel should be cleaned up and improved a little. Be aware that the hotel lies next to a very busy road and you may hear ambulances 24/7. But when the window stays closed it's not bad.

INTERNET -- The free WiFi availability (dozens of access points) and speed was very good for a hotel. However it was not the time where there are a lot of teenagers there. Unfortunately, there is no encryption so everyone could basically read what you are doing unless it's a https website.

SERVICE QUALITY -- The staff is basically very helpful, but nonetheless they have this Israeli / Middle East attitude which is quite direct and seems sometimes a little harsh. However, all my wishes have been fulfilled quickly. The room was always cleaned and made perfectly.

OVERALL IMPRESSION -- I would definitely recommend this hotel with the current price-value ratio.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less street noise. Try to get a room in a floor which has already been renovate...

I stayed her for 8 days Feburaury 23- March 3rd. 2014 and was pleased with the service. The hotel is renovating some areas and staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and offers a good breakfast. Close to the Kiryat Moshe tram station. So easy to get around to Old city. On one end of the tram line is Mount Herzl where one can visit Yad Vashem the Holocast Museum. Would recomend this hotel.

Located near the Knessett and train line. Large and clean hotel. Showers can tend to overflow however. First room had wet carpet. We did get staff to change our room. Breakfast was good, as well as the service. Would recommend this hotel.

I stayed for three full days visiting the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on a business trip. The Hotel was under renovation but our stay was not affected at all. The room was great with good bed and nice bathroom. All necessary items were there for someone to relax after a busy day. The Staff was EXCELLENT and very helpful to any of my requests.
Two negative issues: the minibar was empty (not even a bottle of water but the staff came by and offered a free bottle of water at our arrival) , the Breakfast was not of my European taste (no meat but plenty of dairy products) but there was enough variety to start my day. Definitely a nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for renovated ones.

I loved this hotel. VERY CLEAN ROOMS. The rooms are pretty inside, and the beds are very comfortable. It was recently renovated and it looks fantastic in side the rooms and bathroom. Great modern lighting.

The free breakfast in the morning is SOOO good. It's all you can eat HEALTHY Israeli food and the staff, specifically Ayman was very friendly. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful too, especially when I was having wifi troubles. It was quickly resolved. I would stay here again, no question. For $70 a night, you can't beat that.

The only con is that it's a little far from the old city, and you have to take a cab there. Otherwise, it's perfect.
