“Great location for Old City and Ben Yehuda Street”

The Dan Panorama is a decent 'middle of the road' hotel, within in easy walking reach of both Jerusalem's Old City (15 mins), Kotel (25 mins) and Ben Yehuda Street (15-20 mins).

It is close to the King David and King David Citadel hotels, both of which are significantly more expensive to stay at than the Dan Panorama. Therefore, if you want a reasonably priced hotel, close to major attractions (listed above), give it a try!

Food was pretty good, staff were helpful, and rooms were fine, if not that big. There is also complimentary hotel parking, if you have / hire a car while you're there.

“Good location”

Dan Panorama Jerusalem

This hotel is pretty much central to everything you want to see in Jerusalem. The room, while small, was clean and very quiet. Breakfast was average for Israeli hotels and, while acceptable, not up to the quality you would expect.

“Loved the Dan Pan”

Dan Panorama Jerusalem

Stayed at the Dan Pan for 5 nights with a tour group of 49 people. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel, the fantastic location. Many of the places we wanted to visit, were so accessible. The wait staff in the Dining Room were superb, both efficient and attentive. Besides that, they all looked so smart in their white coats - looked professional. the Manager of the Dining Room went above, and beyond service and we all thought he was special. We did find the front desk busy, but then all front desks in hotels tend to be the same. We never found the front desk staff rude, as we attempted to treat them with courtesy, and found that a smile goes a long way. We plan to reurn to this hotel next year, with another tour group, and look forward to staying there.

“Shabby and dishonest”

For a hotel that holds itself out to be a luxury hotel this was one of my worst experiences. The windows did not close properly so that the road noise made sleeping almost impossible, rust in the bathroom. I came back one afternoon to find that they had left my door open to the corridoor for most of the afternoon, the front desk's response was simply: "sorry about that". The breakfast, which costs US$30 had canned fruit and juice, this in a country that exports oranges worldwide, and lukewarm water for tea [except for one day when it was hot but tasted of coffee]. The last straw was when the reception tried to claim that I had no reservation for the fifth day of my stay, although they had the previous four days, of course this was just before Passover when they could rent it for more. They then told me that it was a problem for me and my agent but nothing to do with them. Fortunately my agent was able to complain loudly enough that they "found" the reservation. Avoid this company like the plague.

We just stayed 8 nights at the Dan Panorama and had a great experience -- its a good value. Great breakfast, great wait staff at the dining room and comfortable accommodations. Not like a new hotel in the US but a nice, clean and safe hotel -- compares with a moderate tier hotel. We took 2 rooms for family of 5 and were fine.
