“Good hotel”

Dan Panorama Jerusalem

Large room. Comfortable beds. Truly magnificent breakfast. Shower curtain is too short for tub, so it flaps against your body in the vacuum created when shower is used. Internet costs $17 per day, which is a ripoff. Nice location.

“Excellent Service”

Dan Panorama Jerusalem

We returned to Jerusalem to attend a wedding and made our reservations to return to the Dan Panorma, being members of the e-Dan Club.
Outs tay was on the exeutive floor and as such we had acess to the Lounge on the 9th floor. The Staff in the lounge were simply excellent. Offering their assistance when asked. Refreshments and drinks were always available. Our room was comfortableand the room bar restocked daily. Breakfast had
food items for every taste. Service was gppd. As we stood nine days they knew us and had our de-cafe coffee ready as soon as
we were seated.
The one problem we encountered was with a single taxi driver
we used from the hotel who gave us counterfeit Israeli currency
as change. Never try to change a 100 IS but carry 20 IS notes. A lesson learned.

“The most lavish breakfast one can imagine...”

Dan Panorama Jerusalem

The room was a decent size, the beds very firm and comfortable. The bathroom was quite spacious and was equipped with a nice shower. Overall it wasn't a super luxurious hotel but was quite respectable.

The staff was generally friendly but the front desk clerks were hurried and distracted at most times.

Their buffet breakfast was an unbelievable feast each morning and resembled a lavish wedding rather than a mere breakfast.

A warning about the hotel taxi drivers wearing jackets with the logo of the hotel. They are not all as honest as they would have you believe.

The hotel is located within walking distance of the old city and around the corner from the King David. There are some nice restaurants down the block, especially a new one called Zohara's Kitchen. This was recommended by the hotel staff and has great Israeli food for lunch and dinner. We upgraded to the executive floor which was well worth it. The rooms are larger and there is lounge with computers, snacks and free drinks that is open for use. We also received fresh fruit and bottled water. The hotel's regular rooms are quite small and ours was right by the elevator which is why we switched. We only ran into one rude staff member, all of the other staff were very nice. We were surprised that the staff could not give us directions to their other hotel in Eilat and told us to call the hotel when we got there. You would think they would know where their sister hotels are located. We would stay here again because of location. The israeli breakfast was just okay, especially in comparison to the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv which is the nicest of the Panorama hotels in terms of newness and room size that we stayed in.

This hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the Old City and near to some very good local restaurants. It's nothing fancy and could do with modernising, but it's clean and the staff are friendly and it represents excellent value for money, at least by Jerusalem standards!

Rooms are smallish so you'll need inter-connecting rooms if you're a family, but they come with all the usual: air con, TV, shower etc. Bathrooms are clean but tired. Breakfast in the hotel is OK, but not as good as you might expect at an Israeli hotel usually.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and can help you plan your time in the city to best advantage. The hotel's on a busy road, but you don't hear the traffic in your room.
