My wife and I stayed at this hotel from Nov 25 - Dec 1. While the hotel is very nice and well kept, although the lack of a clock in the room drove me crazy, there is a lack of customer service. We made our reservation through a travel agent and paid for our son, who is studying in Israel, to stay in our room for the last three nights of our stay. When we checked in we confirmed that they had his reservation and the person at the desk suggested that we remind the hotel prior to his arrival. We reminded them the night before as well as that morning, each time the person at the desk argued with us that he wasn't booked in our room, ultimately to find the reservation. Whe we returnred to our room that afternoon of course we did not have the cot. I called the front dest, and was bounced around and put on hold for half an hour, while my wife went down to the desk. When my wife spoke to the desk person they argued with her that we did not have a reservation for him. After a few minutes the person realized that they had the wrong room number and had the cot sent up.
This was the least of the issues. We made arrangements to have our Friday night Shabbos meal in the hotel and we paid for four of my nephews to join us. In addition friends who were staying in the hotel joined us as well, so we had a total of 10 people at our table. When we came to the table we found the chairs stained, the table cloth torn and dirty. The staff basically threw the food at us and we practically had to beg them to refill the two water pitchers. After a while we gave up on getting any more water. While I paid a lot for this meal I really don't feel like I got my monies worth.
The next day we had lunch at the Inball, I paid a fraction of what I paid at the Plaza and the staff couldn't have been nicer to us. Their food was tastier and the water pitchers were constantly being refilled.
