“Good location to visit Jerusalem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We booked one of their one-bedroom apartments to sleep 3 adults which was quite nice and of a good size. There were a single bed in the living room which was comfortable but the bathroom was off the main bedroom which made it a bit awkward for the person who was sleeping in the living room. The kitchenette was useful to have breakfast but wasn't well equipped to have other meals. One thing that was missing was a coffee machine; there were only a kettle so you could only make instant coffee or tea.

The service was excellent though their reception area is very tiny. The staff was very helpful in ensuring we had a good stay.

The hotel is nicely located in Jerasalem West in between the old city and the Mahane Yehuda market as well as close to a tram stop. The price was quite reasonable for Jerusalem.

The rooms are ok, quite small but clean enough; there is not breakfast included and not any common place to relax.
I guess that the price we paid was related to its position: right in the center of the city, at walkable distance from both the old city and the Yehuda market.

We stayed 4 nights at the City Center Apartment Hotel and were blown away. For $120 a night in Israel (an extremely expensive country for lodging), we had a beautiful, clean apartment. We were comfortable, the staff was helpful and the hotel is a 2 minute walk to Ben Yehuda St, 5 minute walk to the Souk and 10 minute walk to the old city. I'll stay here again FOR SURE

Room Tip: There are two wings, we stayed in each but we liked the room in the HaHistadrut side better

Friendly and helpful staff will welcome you.The room I had was clean and had everything I needed. The bathroom was cleaner than some of the bathrooms I had seen in the hotels of the city. The only inconvenience is you have to go outside to get to the reception, but who needs the reception when everything is fine?Next door to the apartment hotel is a splendid little cafe that serve you all the salads and coffee and cake you could wish. There is only walking distance to the old city, and around the corner is the train that makes museums and other parts of the city reachable in minutes. The only drawback to me is that I am not used to sleeping in a city where people are in the streets enjoying themselves at night, making it hard to sleep. But I will come back anyway!

Located near everything (shopping, night life, eats, old city). The staff alone is worth the stay. Room has refrigerator, sink and microwave. No reason to stay at more expensive hotels. Almost everything is within walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a street view.

We had a little trouble finding the entrance, as it is now located at 17 King George St (moved from Hahistadrut 2).

We rented an apartment room overlooking King George St., and we were very pleased with this room. It was stocked with tableware and had a small refrigerator, which proved to be very convenient. We stayed during Shavuot, so when most restaurants and stores closed, we were able to buy and keep groceries. The shower was small and there was no bathtub, but otherwise this room was very comfortable.

The location can't be beat--close to Ben Yehuda St (1 min walk), Mamilla (8-10 mins walk), and Old City (12-15 mins walk). It is also close to Jaffa St, so you can easily jump on the tram.

All of the members of the staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and speak a variety of languages

Because the room overlooks the street, we did get some of the noise from down below, but given the multitude of other positives of this location, a bit of street noise should not deter you from staying at this great hotel.

Room Tip: If street noise really bothers you, ask for a room that does not overlook the street.

We had been to Jerusalem once before - staying in a hotel and taking various trips. This time we wanted to explore Jerusalem at our own pace. Taking an apartment for two weeks was a good choice - and the location of this apartment hotel was terrific. It was an easy walk to the Old City, very close the light rail (Jaffa Street) and there were numerous buses passing. We chose the spit level apartment to give us some additional space and this worked out well. Upstairs (on level 4) was the entrance, the kitchen/dining and lounge areas. The spiral staircase took you down to the bedroom and bathroom. Each level had its own balcony overlooking King George Street and its own wifi connection (all very easy to access). There is a supermarket (diagonally) across the road (go down the stairs to the City Cellar) where you can stock up on basics. You can also walk/take a bus/ catch the light train to the Mahane Yehuda market (an experience in itself) to buy olives, fruit, vegetables, cheese, nuts and much more. The bathroom in the apartment was smallish but big enough to be serviceable. There were two TVs (with stations in a range of languages - including English) and two air-conditioners (upstairs and downstairs). The kitchen had a good sized fridge, a microwave and stove top with two burners - all good for a two week stay. On the downside - there was a frying pan but no other saucepans and limited utensils. We were provided with a can opener on request - and we bought a couple of minor things (include food storage containers). It seemed like a problem at first but we actually managed just fine. The lack of clothes washing facilities was a bit of a surprise though. The apartment was serviced daily which we appreciated.
One big plus was the staff on reception - particularly Ben and Elia. We received a level of advice and practical support that was really helpful (and better than you would get in most hotels). Ben organised tickets for us to go and see 'Oh Jerusalem' which we had seen and enjoyed. We did too! Sua, who serviced the apartment, was also very helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay in Jerusalem and have this apartment as a base greatly contributed to that.

Room Tip: The two level apartment is certainly different - especially as the living area (upstairs/ is connect...
