“Manna in the middle of Machane Market”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

Went to this resto based on TripAdvisor recommendations and, although we went in circles a bit before finding this place, it was a delicious find. Heavy, meat meals with delicious food, reminiscent of the Ottolenghi cookbook "Jerusalem". This was by far the most authentic Israeli food we had during the three weeks we were in Israel. Looks a bit chaotic from the outside but service was terrific. Do not miss this place during your trip to the market!

“Just okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Not quite sure what all the fuss is about. It's okay, but there are other good local cafes. When we went, several of the dishes were unavailable. No falafel, and no tomato salad - despite the fact we were a few yards from the market, heaving with tomatoes. Houmus was nice - had just as good elsewhere. Tasty dishes, and a good choice if you are visiting the market

“Real food for a change”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

If you are looking for Carpaccio, or Sashimi, or a fish fillet decorated with rosemary and piled on a mountain of potato puree, or any other staple of the chic restaurant scene in Israel - don't come to Azura. But if you want to eat real tasty middle eastern food prepared to perfection, and reasonably priced, and enjoy friendly service in the middle of the liveliest market in Israel - by all means do. Not an easy place to find but well worth the trouble. Wish we had many more places like it.

“Music nights at Azura”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

During our last visit to Jerusalem- on June-July, 2013, we spend a few evenings at Azura - actually the little piazza right in front of it. They initiated live music performances, played by Palestinian groups. And it was really great. I real joy and the center of Mahne-Yehuda market. The food and service were fine, but what really swept us off our feet was the museum.

“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch there on Friday with our two children, very good Iraqie food, the line is long but worth the wait. It is reccommended to be there before noon when the line is shorter and they still have everything available from the menu
