“An island of Autrian land in the middle of the orient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Surprising reminiscence of the colonial time when each of the major empires had established their our teritory in Jerualem. An island of Autria in the middle of the middle of the oriental jerusalem.A nice atmosphere coffee house with Shtrudel and similat treats and a nice view on jerusalem from the roof. Probably also a nice place to stay for pilgrims of all sorts.

“A garden of Eden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

This place is hidden almost, you find the door and once you enter you climb stairs to arrive at what appears to be a hotel front desk. However take a left there and you can enter a cafe and then take your food and drink to the little oasis area with a good book to enjoy the beautiful weather. Food here is okay but pricey for lunch food.

“Favorite Spot in the Old City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

It is almost impossible to find the Austrian Hospice unless you know what you're looking for. Call them beforehand for some tips on finding them, and don't be afraid to keep asking as you go. You will get partial directions that will eventually get there. Once there, ring the bell and you will be buzzed in. Make sure to enjoy the garden seating (it is sooo peaceful) and go to the top of the building for a great view of the Old City. This hotel is very affordable, too, but you have to book more than 6 months in advance.
