We stayed one night in Abraham hostel and for backpackers very nice hostel.
Buffet breakfast was ok and for people who like to prepare own evening meal a kitchen is available.Laundry machines with dryer and detergent also available.Free tours are offered which is a nice plus and also the traveldesk located in lobby is a perfect place to get information.Carparking is behind hotel for about 12 euro per 24 hours.
Location very good with electric railway next to hotel in Jaffa street 5 minutes to old city.
Walking distance 5 minutes to Yehuda Market.Free wifi completes your stay and upon presentation of your Araham hostel map(you get thise at receptiondesk) you wil get discounts in various restaurants and cafe's in the neighbourhood

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are free maps of Jerusalem and from the hostel it took me about 15 minutes to get to the Old City of Jerusalem. I booked via booking.com and for that I got a free drink. The evening was very pleasant since there was a young group singing, which created a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. My room was clean.
For a short stay the breakfast is ok, but hopefully they change the buffet from time to time :)

Room Tip: Away from the main street should be quieter.

Very friendly staff, great bonus for booking five or more nights - a trip to Masada and the Dead Sea. We loved participating at Sabath dinner. We also appreciated the possibility to cook our own supper and having a lamp at each bed to read and not to disturb others . Being in the dormitories ment to meet people from various countries- another bonus to make friends.

Apart from the excellent location which, at least to me, is the main criterion in choosing a hotel or hostel, I was impressed by the combination of cleanliness, good atmosphere (the open space encompassing kitchen, chill out area, bar, etc.) and staff's dedication to helping out whenever necessary. For example, I was trying to locate a viewpoint I had seen on a bus ride and the staff took turns in trying to answer my question, in the end somebody pointing out the exact location. Help with getting an airport ride was also highly appreciated (Thanks, Maya!).

If you are looking for a hostel in Jerusalen, you must be in Abraham Hostel. Very good relation between money & quality. I stayed with my girlfriend 5 nights. Staff was very very friendly, they always ask our complains, questions and doubts.
Location is very good, you will find the lightrail in the corner of the hostel, Central Bus station 5 min by walk or one stop by lightrail, city center 5 min by walk, old city 15 min. by walk (or 3 stops by lightrail).
Breakfast was average. You will find toast, salads, coffee. Kitchen is very well equiped to cook there. You have hot drinks during all the day available.
You also find a bar with Happy hour (18 a 21 hs).
Laundry makes extra point for Abraham.
Cleaness is the worth point of the hostel. Staff did not clean our room daily. We had to ask to towels changed, blankets and linen were not changed while we have been there.
With stay for 5 nights or more you will receive a full day tour to Masada or Dead Sea which costs USD 217 and Sandesman free tour, around the old city for 3 hours, pick up you in the hostel reception twice a day.

Room Tip: If you book private hostel ask for rooms which has view for Davidka sq and choose second floor.

We arrived at 6 in the morning and the staff let us sleep in the TV room for a couple of hours even though we were only due to book in later that day. This was very much appricieted as we had been awake and travelling for over 24 hours. The rooms were comfy (although a bit noisy at times near the road) and the communal areas were lovely (we enjoyed the swinging seats in particular) and the staff were helpful and friendly. Would definately recommend it and stay here again.
