“We loved it! Clean, Comfortable, and Location Location Location!!!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2011

We stayed as a couple at the Abraham hostel in their Double Room for one night. The place couldn't have been more perfect. It had all the amenities and most importantly was incredibly clean and comfortable. The room even included a small kitchen. The Abraham Hostel was not only a better deal but offered more quality and amenities than most three star hotels in Jerusalem! (free wifi, computers, breakfast, huge lounge space etc.)
We couldn't have asked for a better location in the city. The center of Jerusalem with all restaurants and shops around. 1 minute walk from the shuk (market) and 15 minute walk over to the Old City.
We will definitely be using this hostel again!

Definitely the best hostel I have ever stayed in!
They have a traveler center on 1st floor, and u can borrow guide books from them!
On the 2nd floor there is a bar, kitchen, and amazing common area. You can also do laundry in the hostel.
Really loved it!

Abraham is a great place! The reception, the lounge, the kitchen are spacious, comfortable and colorful. The staff is very helpful, nice and speaks good English.
The room is comfortable and spacious. It would be better if they provided more clothing and luggage storage places. The bathroom is bit small. The blackout curtain is not very efficient as there was light coming in very early in the morning.
Good breakfast. They also organize shabat dinner, visits to the market and cooking, parties and lots of activities. It's a great place to meet other travelers.
It's located outside the Old City, but if you have the energy, it's walking distance from it. If not, there's plenty of buses taking you there.
It has free wi-fi all over the hostel, unexpensive internet center, laundry facilities and travel center where you can buy tours around Jerusalem or even to Jordan.

Room Tip: Ask a room facing Hanevim Street.

This hostel is very well located, near the market, Jaffa road, and within a walking distance to the old city. People are very friendly, always willing to help you and advice you, and organise lots of useful and fun events. I'll stay there again, when I go to Jerusalem!

I stayed 7 nights to explore Jerusalem and some places in the Westbank like Ramallah, Hebron, Bethlehem, Mar Saba.

Mahane Yehuda Market ist only 7 minutes by walking, there is the new Tram just around the corner and the bus stop in front of the hostel. To visit the Old City is 20 minuts by walking or go by bus.

The room was clean and not too small; everything was working. Shower and toilet are separated.

All the staff was friendly and helpful.

I would book it again.

Room Tip: Try to get a dbl in the 3rd floor to the back side

Simple, clean rooms. Friendly, helpful service. Spacious and bright lounge and cafeteria. The breakfast is pretty darn good for a hostel, too. The prices are fair for Jerusalem. The only complaint would be that it can be noisy as it is on a main street, but that is the trade off for being in a location that is handy to all the sights...

A bit of a side note is that another plus is that there is a parking lot next door that is free overnight (although driving in Jerusalem is not recommended - it is a crazy city to navigate - rental cars are handy for driving around other parts of Israel, though)
