“Good place but mussakhen was not the real thing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

Mussakhen is a wonderful Palestinian dish, but what is called "mussakhen" here is more of a sandwich, which is not the "real thing." But pleasant environment and good food right in the Old City.

“Pleasant place away from the maddening crowd.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2012

Stopped on the off chance to have lunch and get away from the heat. Place was not very busy and we were seated quickly. My wife and I both chose a Greek Salad and it was very good – though you can’t go too far wrong with a salad, however it was very fresh. A couple of beers and glasses of wine made for a very pleasant meal. Would go back for dinner if I could find the place again which is in the maze of alley ways called Jerusalem’s Old City.

Very good atmosphere, very clean, friendly and the food is excellent. Not cheap but the best choice for the price.

“Not good for vegans.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2012

The only thing on the menu which is vegan is the large bread and dips starter dish. I ordered it as a main and the pitta came with 8 little bowls of dips - one was yoghurty and one tasted fizzy, like hummous that's gone off.
Service was quick and efficient, overall decoration and atmosphere was nice, but the food let them down.
