“great atmoshpere and excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2012

My wife and I visited this restaurant on 3rd Feb 2012.
We arrived early at around 9 and the place was still not full. Place is located on EMEK REFAIM Street which is a great place to walk around and has a lot of restaurants and amazing shops.
We ordered breakfast for both of us. Food was great and also the service.

“a touch of Italy in Jerusalem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2012

We went to Luciana, one of many excellent restaurants, in a road called Emek Refaim, which means "Valley of the Doctors" , today it looks like the valley of gourmets!!! Luciana is a milky ie no meat, restaurant, serving Italian style food. There is an enormous breakfast , served until mid day, with a choice of other light dishes and salads throughout the day and night. All the food is cooked fresh, the portions are very generous and the service efficient , there is a large indoor section and in the summer months an outdoor seating area, with awnings for the hotter months.

“Terrible expérience all à round:thé sorts of Israël”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2011 via mobile

Party of 5 for lunch yesterday.we chose à table inside, waitress told us it was OK to sit there but made a face of annoyance. It took 20mn and repeated calls to order and another 50 mn to get the food in installments over 15mn. To our questions about the delay the waitress threw us a bone"problems in the kitchen".
The food was definitely not up to par:my daily special cannelloni was under stuffed and over reheated, the salads had "cooked" from being overdressed for too long, portions were not generous, the hollandaise on the benedicts had congealed.
A major disappointment which I tried to convey to the maitre D upon leaving, in vain ,she was not listening from my first word, just on the defensive so I just left.

“Another proof it's best not to eat in the German Colony”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2011

Luciana is another proof that it's best not to eat in the German Colony neighborhood. As many restaurants located in Emek Refaim, it offers slightly-below-average food at hefty prices. The setting is rather nice, especially the outdoor terrace. Staff are friendly but overwhelmed, which results in poor service.
