My friend and I were sitting at the Coffee Bean and sharing a large iced tea when someone, apparently of management status, came over and started yelling at me in hebrew. My friend, who speaks hebrew, starting yelling back at the guy. Apparently he had come up to me (a woman by the way, sitting with a male) and telling me that I couldn't have my computer on, using the internet without buying my own drink first. I am not saying that this isn't a fair and reasonable rule, but to come up to a woman and start yelling about it seems unreasonable.
Although the women that also worked there could tell this guy was overreacting and were giving looks that said "I am so sorry". This guy actually kicked us out of the restaurant and stared at us in a menacing matter as we stood across the street discussing what our next move would be.
My friend told him that he probably shouldn't alienate Americans from an American place as we have other American friends who we will tell to not go there. I recommend staying far away from here, maybe try Hillel across the street where there is free wifi and a better attitude.
