“Continued amazing service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

To Team George and Emmanuel, amazing continued gr8 service. Thats why we keep coming back and telling all our friends. Thanks Naomi Clivey Yoni and Rafi Rosenfeld.

Any chance of an allotted area in the lobby that one can sit and read in the light. We get the vibe of the lack of light, however, a small area would be beneficial and appreciated by all your guests promise. Naomi xxx

Room Tip: we love the first floor rooms which you can walk up to. no need for a lift.

Luxury status aside, I truly disliked this hotel. It does have a fabulous gym, a lovely spa with steam rooms and massage and an attentive staff. But the hotel design seemingly says, "Your needs don't matter." First, I thought I'd gotten locked in my room before I realized the door opened outward, which is not how it works ANYWHERE else. After 4 days, I could barely figure out what switch went to what light. The bathtub was designed like a shoebox with nowhere to rest one's head and a drain smack in the middle that popped up every time one rested on it. I did not have one bath in which the water stayed in the tub. The glass door to the bathroom blocks the toilet area, which means that at night, one has to carefully guide oneself to the toilet so as not to get hurt. Etc. It was nice to have a place for coffee and light food on site. The breakfast spread was decent, but the quality was average. At a luxury hotel, I expect to feel pampered. I did not feel pampered at the Mamila.

I did not stay at the mamilla hotel. I visited because it was friday and everything was closed. I went to the rooftop because it has an AMAZING view of the old city and they kept it pretty well heated despite the fact that it is open (this is january). I had some wine and roast beef that were both delicious. it was a little pricy but i think it was justified considering the view and the fact that it was really good. I then moved to the bar. The bartender was awesome. he made me a couple of cocktail shots that he had put together and a shot of bush mills. His name tag said "Guy" but that wasn't his name. I think it was roy but i honestly forgot i was inebriated. the girl who served me at the table was manaa (?) i think and she was very very good. great suggestions and so nice. i highly recommend you eat here after visiting the old city all day.

We stayed nine days at the Mamilla Hotel. We found everyone to be pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was by far the best i have ever had at a hotel. At the spa I had reflexology. It was the best treatment I ever had! Natalia did the treatment. I liked it so much that I went back for a second treatment! She also gave me tips to do at home. The Jaffa Gate is within 5 minutes of walking through the Manilla Mall. This trip was one of the best and one I will always treasure!

My husband and I stayed at Mamilla hotel for 5 days , what a great hotel we felt we were at our home. We took a studio room the reception staff were kind, the room was clean and the houskeeping staff were great.
The breakfast in the dinning room was tasty and delicious.
The first day we didn't like the way of the worker in the executive lounge, he didn't ask what we need to drink untill we called on him.but the second day he wasn't there we meet Sandi who greeted us with her shinning smile, asked what we need and told us everything about the executive lounge. She made us forget what happened last day. I can say we meet a precious friend who smiles and care for every guest there.
Also at the dinning room in shabat she was the host gave us a table and kept asking about us.
Really Best thanks for Sandi and the dinning room staff. we enjoyed our time there.

This hotel is owned and or managed by the same company as the David Citadel, and surprising the rates are almost the same. The service and the accommodations are miles apart. This hotel needs to go back to school, and learn how to speak and service guests. Not one thing we asked for was able to be provided. All they were busy with was trying to sell us on an upgrade for $ 75.00. This hotel is not worth the trip. The smallest hotel room and bathroom, in any five star hotel.

We started our present trip to Israel with five days at Mamilla. Adjacent to the Jaffa Gate, by walking through Mamilla Mall, we were a six minute walk to the Kotel (Western Wall). We had booked a studio room, but upgraded to a suite on the seventh floor, upon arrival. Of the many sites and views we've been lucky enough to have had, in many years of travel, this was the best. It was a full on view of David's Tower and the walls of the Old City - mind blowing view, day and night!
The service at the Mamilla was perfect, from check in, to housekeeping, to the fabulous breakfast, to the sexy Mirror Bar, on the second floor. This is a world class property in the most special city in the world

Room Tip: Well worth it to upgrade to a room with an Old City view
