“The most wonderful birthday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2011

We had an amazing time. The room was beautiful (room #310), amazing design of the room, bathroom, sparkling clean.Great service, starting with the guy that parked our car, through the receptionist and the bell-boy. We loved that 10 minutes after we arrived to the room, someone knocked at the door to ask if we need any extra bathroom products. It was a bit dark at the swimming pool.

Located in a very central area, the hotel is definitely worth a splurge if you want to pamper yourself. Loved the opaque glass bathroom in the room with the funky shower and comfortable bath tub, may want to rethink though the square toilet, our body's are built differently :-) . Beds are very comfortable, would like a mattress like this at home. Good breakfast, not as many varieties as some of the other Israeli Hotels but still plentiful. For the price we paid it is probably the most affordable luxurious hotel in Jerusalem.

This hotel is operated badly. You can ask for something many times, you 'll not get anyone back in charge of your request.
Service at the restaurant is a bad joke. We had a totally anarchic service at breakfast and at lunch on Saturday.
Architecture and design are very pretentious and even diffuse arrogance but not real good reasons addressing these pretensions.
incredibly bad price/performance.

beware of the "first" floor - it is really a groundfloor right on the street and parking. really - the street is on your window at eye level. so you have a street, cars and a building at your nose. can't open the curtain.the so called "studio" room is very small and the bathroom sink area is for small thin people with no need for light and no place to poot your bath stuff. the shower head sprays to all sides becuase it's partly blocked. there is no lobby but a small one sitting area. the dining room is a huge hall with tables and chairs in strait lines without any design - like a cheap cafeteria - and what a mess! waiters are inexperienced and confused. many groop parties that keep your room shaking until late at night. management is absent. unique modern design - just take a look and go to another hotel.

We spent two nights on the hotel. The hotel location is excellent and its design is very unique. Still, its operation was quite poor - a long line for the reception service, average breakfast (also the breakfast on Saturday was totaly cold because of Kosher issues), the waiteres didn't understood our requests because of language problem - they mainly speak Arabic, there was huge disorder in the dinning room, there were an areas in the hotel that was dirty, and we also "enjoy" from electrical power interruption in the first night. For short - a disappointment.

My husband and I checked in to one of the studio rooms in June 2010 for 2 nights. We loved glass walled bathroom feature and found the opaque switch feature lots of fun (we were like kids in a candy shop on arrival). If the studio rooms were this cool, we thought, then the suites must be amazing. We absolutely loved the fusion of old and new, the roof terrace restaurant, the sun terrace and the breakfasts. Staying here was a real pleasure and a luxurious one at that. We found no reason to fault the hotel and had a fabulous stay.
