My husband and I together with four friends ate at the restaurant, which is situated in a most interesting part of down town Jerusalem, in an area which will be up and coming very soon, with the completion of the Waldorf Astoria and the Mamila shopping Mall. The restaurant's name comes from the date the Quarter was first inhabited by Moroccans, ie.1868, today the area has been gentrified with new little squares and museum. The restaurant itself is set within a courtyard for summer dining and a large dining room for the colder months. The menu is small, fancy and frankly not very good value for money. 0ur soups were tepid. The main courses did not live up to their optimistic titles and the service, considering there was only one other couple besides our party, was slow.
