the rooms were nicely renovated. the food is great. the service in the dining room is very good. the location is wonderful. the hotel is in walking distance from the museum area and from cinema city, where you can find cinema halls and restaurants.

Room Tip: rooms on the east side have nice view

Was in Israel for business and spent 2 nights at the Ramada Jerusalem (recommended by American Express Travel)

The bad

1. Traveled with a coworker who was charged a 2500 deposit to his card which I was not charged (I am white, he is dark skinned/Pakastan). So I suspect some profiling

2. Was there for Shabbat, so I understand the meal options being limited. However the buffet offered was horrible and expensive (150 sheckles / 35 dollars)

3. Vending machine was broken and there was no means to get a bottle of water. Couldn't the hotel place one in the room?

4. Had the hotel call us a cab. Even though there is a clear sign that by law all taxi drivers must use the meter, no one does. The driver immediately tried to convince a trip to Bethlahem instead of the old city as requested. I had to sternly request that we be taken to our requested destination. Again, this was a taxi called by the hotel.

5. Generally folks at the front desk were not friendly

6. The paid internet service in the hotel room was really slow. The free one in the lobby was much nicer.

The good

1. Nice bar with nice bartenders who were very interested in American Culture

2. Room were nice, nothing special

3. Breakfast was nice, good salads, poor service (bunch of staff standing around, tough to get coffee)

whilst I did not sleep her I spent two long days at a conference in this hotel. The staff are unhelpful, the lobby wifi is free for one hour a day and after that you are asked to pay 24$ for 24 hours. No reasonable explanation was given for this.
There are insufficient chairs in the lobby, no coffee facilities and generally the standard was poor and did not smell too good either.

We were on a weekend with the family,
One day before coming we asked about the pool, if it is opened to both men and women (since the Hotel hosts also Ultra-Orthodox jews. And we were told that the pool will be available for us.
Once we got there we weren't enabled to go to the pool together, since there was a group of ultra-orthodox, and they were promised that the swimming will be separated.
The staff told me that there's nothing to do, because of the group.
The fact is that they publicize the hotel to them by telling them that the swimming will be separated, so that was not really a single-case, in my opinion

It's for everyone”

It is a huge vacation land. It has everything for everyone. Very nice anda lot of fun. There are plenty of stores and quite a few restaurants(are so good). The best part is the pool and good coffeee. The hotel really makes you feel "you're on vacation."

Terriable hotel, bed bugs to filth. If it was in the USA the health Department would have them closed. Black mold growing on the walls, toilets that do not flush, vomit on the carpeting not cleaned from hoe ever many guests ago. Bed sofier then a bean bag chair and pillows bigger then hot air ballons. Lobby floor is sticky and the dining areas are worse.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2014

The breakfast & dinner buffets were excellent. Free wi-fi for 1 hour every 24 hours. You can log in again within that 24 hour period with a different email address. The climate control in the room was non-existent, the bathroom smelled of mildew, ants on the floor in the bathroom. I would not stay there again.

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel
