“DIRTY ROOMS, POOR BREAKFAST - CAN NOT RECCOMMEND”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

I have stayed in this hotel in November 2013 for 2 night.

Hotel is very huge, but very dirty. Rooms are very dirty, furniture is used a lot.

Breakfast was very poor - only 1 type of cheese. But very huge selection of vegetables.

I was told that this was a good hotel but, sadly, it wasn't. It is old and tired and desperately in need of a facelift.
The bed was comfortable enough and the linen was clean but I got the feeling that Housekeeping really didn't care. Dirty coffee cups and used glasses remained on the bedside pedastal for 2 or 3 days until I complained. On the day that my bedding was changed, I came into the room in the evening to find the old bedding lying on the floor. There were holes in the curtains. There were bare wires coming out of the wall and trailing to the the back of the bedside pedastal where it was connected into the back of the console. Although tea/coffee facilities were provided, there were no teaspoons/stirrers, cups were made of paper, there was no creamer (yes, I know that the hotel can't provide milk). There was no plug in the washbasin and I had to waste water by shaving under a constantly running tap - terrified tha if I dropped my razor, it would disappear down the plug hole, never to be found again.
Food was OK but not great. Staff were grim and humourless. There was not a single smile in sight. On one night, I was appalled at the way staff cleared all the crockery and cutlery off my table while I was still sitting there as part of a group of 8. Te one staff member even passed a full tray of dirty dishes across the table, over our heads to a colleague who was standing behind us.
Prices in the souvenir shop were very high. (Yes, I know hotel shops are often expensive and I normally wouldn't shop in them, but when you are leading a group you have to check so that you can advise the group.)
In fairness, I must say that management met with me to see if they could clear up the problems and they most certainly did try. But the episode of the bedding on the floor happened the evening after I had spent a good hour and a half with them. I do not believe that the problem lies with management per se but their commitment to the hotel is certainly not filtering down to the staff working for them.
Would I use this hotel again? Most definitely not.

The Ramada is conveniently located just a few blocks from the new light-rail system. Additionally, they offer a free shuttle service to many area sights. The entire hotel is kosher, and the food is excellent. The variety is impressive, and even non-observant guests will have nothing to complain about. There are plenty of fruits, salads and juices, as well as lots of desserts depending on whether you're trying to be 'good' or indulge yourself. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the business center was handy if you don't want to drag a laptop along. The dining room staff in particular was very accommodating.

Don't be tricked into staying in the "Royal Wing". There are two towers in this hotel, and from what I can see it is like night and day. The Royal Wing should have been condemned years ago, the rooms are not what you see in the pictures, fungus growing in places fungus has no right growing in, holes in the curtains, TV never did work in spite of numerous calls and visits to the front desk. Wake up calls missed, and to put the finishing touches on our last day, the two rolls of toilet tissue that were in our bathroom this morning have now gone AWOL. Staff are rude and indifferent, unless they are trying to sell you something, then they are your best friend.

Ramada should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on this building. We have stayed at many Wyndham Hotels in the past and most have been very good. This one....not so much. Keep trying Wyndham, but you won't be getting any more of my business.

Room Tip: Stay away from the "Royal Wing", stay far away

The Ramada hotel is located very close to the centre of Jerusalem, and is a spacious and modern hotel. The rooms and facilities are well laid out and modern. The dining facilities were great. The hotel is within a short walk to a light rail station, which enables easy access to many parts of Jerusalem.

The major issue that we had related to blocked drains in the first room that we had, and notwithstanding 5 separate requests to attend to the issue there was absolutely no response. In desperation we asked for another room, which we fortunately were able to get. During this period the service that we received was poor, and the desk staff treated the issue as an inconvenience, which is a pity since the hotel was otherwise great.

Room Tip: Check the drains in the bathrooms when you arrive.

Justs spent a few days at the Ramada Jerusalem. They recently renovated the rooms and they are conmfortable. However, I wouldn't rate it luxurious. The public areas are large and reasonably comfortable but need renewal.
The food was plentiful and tasty.
I did have two disapointments.
Although they are part of the Wyndham Hotel chain, they are not part of the Wyndham Reward program.
In addition, they have a nice pool area, however, they close it already at 6 PM.
Otherwise a good experience, assuming you do not expect a deluxe hotel.

Room Tip: Reserve either a very high floor or a very low floor. Otherwise, the elevator services on weekends c...

We stayed here for a weekend to be near family. I have stayed in many hotels in Israel and have never had such unappetizing food. The breakfast was especially bad. However, we stayed on the executive floor and had a spacious room overlooking the pool. The shower is not designed well and leaks on to the bathroom floor. We really enjoyed the pool which is beautifully laid out. There is also a children's pool and an indoor pool. However, don't expect to eat poolside. No food is available there. Also the coffee shop is closed on the Sabbath. Only dining room meals are available. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
