“great decor, nice food, not that authentic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Great decor, the food was nice but very heavy, definitely overpriced. If you want to have an "exotic" experience just go to East Jerusalem. You'll get the "real thing" and better prices!

“Kosher Moroccan cousin in an authentic setting.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

I come to this restaurant few times a year since it was open, to expensive for me but I love the food. Yummy Moroccan salads, great Cuscus and vegetables, but the best is the lam shoulder.

“terrible & costly”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

We expected high quality food for the money, instead got below average food. no ambience, touristic place. nothing was fresh. the bread was old and cold. When asked to warm it up, got it back the same. They didn't really care. The entry to the bathroom is positioned in 45 degres and thats the maximum it opens. There is a very large sticking out handle, and the opening is very narrow. I hit my arm on that handle with full force. It was so bad, that I needed ice, and it bruised black and blue right there. The owner didn't care much at all. I wouldn't spend my time or money on this place, ever.

“Want moroccan? Darna is your top choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

A superb day in Jerusalem should be capped by a repast at this destination eatery. It presents well with entry and reception delightfully warm.We are escorted and seated, almost supine in comfortable banquet settees. Darna delights the eye with its authentic settings and decore, while the food dazzles your palate. We eschew the menu and settle on the philo pastry-encrusted pigeon and a tagine of couscous & fabulous vegetables. we flank these starters with a tagine of Denis fish which satisfies and a heartwarming tagine of artichokes stuffed with beef. We are in heaven! We order a bottle of Cab Sav from Gamla,a superb accompaniment from the Gallili. All questions fielded about ingredients, spices and method of preperation, were answered with knowledge and a pride in the chef's capabilities. We were having enough fun to try the shallow, philo covered soft cheese, beautifully baked. We lounge to the rhythmic sounds of Morrocco. This is a "crisp" experience with management and staff anticipating and satisfying our every need. There are many restaurants that are worthy of praise. This one leaves a wonderful feeling. Life's good things do not come cheaply....enjoy the splurge.

“Superb Glatt Kosher Food at a High Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

The food was extremely good. We ordered the tasting menu, despite its cost. Service was not particularly attentive or responsive. But we did have the semi-private dining room, which was great for a lengthy, relaxing dinner.
