“This hotel has the right name, Harmony”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

What a wonderful hotel the Harmony is. Its position is close to Zion Square and only a 10-minute walk to reach Old Jerusalem via the Jaffa gate or to catch the light train to visit Yad Vashem. They’re numerous shops and restaurants on your doorstop to fulfil your desires.

The Harmony has its own underground car park for those of you who have a car. The hotel as a whole is spotlessly clean including our bedroom. It was light and airy and we were fortunate to given a room with a large balcony.

Breakfast is what you would expect in Israel. There is a large choice of food that can easily keep you going until you eat dinner in the evening. However if you get hungry earlier the Harmony has a happy hour at 5pm serving complimentary sandwiches, cakes, nibbles and drink.

We found the staff helpful and friendly making our stay very enjoyable. The only reason I am not given them a 5 star rating is because they have not got a restaurant.

I would definitely stay at the Harmony again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to you.

Lovely hotel with lots of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. Beautiful decor and a vibey terrace. Friendly happy hour with delicious snacks. The service is friendly and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean and tastefully appointed. Quiet and peaceful, it allows one to rest after ones hectic days of touring.

I just finished a stay at this hotel and it is just as good as the reviews indicate. My room was quiet, clean and everything functioned, including the little refrigerator and in-room safe. The included breakfast is as good as any hotel I have seen and the staff was always helpful and polite. The location is very good, being 13 minutes walk to the Jaffa Gate and one block from the light rail line. The free Wi-Fi had a strong signal, but my only small quibble is that the speed is not as fast as I am used to.

I'm sick and tired of boutique hotels. By essence, they all have something in common: they lack a local touch in order to please as many international travellers as possible! In other words, the world is a much more boring place and boutique hotels participate in their way to globalization...

I wrote a 'thumb's up' report on another boutique hotel (Brown Tel Aviv). This one is a different story.

Certainly clean and kind staff but totally dull and uninteresting. No local touch. You could be anywhere and no-where. Globalization at its worst.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your candid review. We always appreciate guest feedback regarding their stay with us. We are happy to hear that you were so pleased with our hard working staff and the top condition of our hotel.

We are sorry to hear that you were unable to connect with the unique elements our hotel displays. The name of our hotel 'Harmony' was inspired by the eclectic and diverse cultures that Jerusalem has. That is why we choose the mosaic of photographs representing these qualities displayed on our ceiling in the lobby. In addition these photos were actually taken by local Jerusalem photographers. To further add to our unique characteristics we feature original artwork on each floor of our hotel created by local Jerusalem artists. We understand that everyone has their own preferences and tastes when it comes to art, style and even the definition of what unique means, thus we respect your personal opinion. However we do hope that on your next visit you will be able to further understand the distinct theme and aspects of our hotel.

We chose the Harmony Hotel because of reading other reviewers here, and were very pleased.
After a slightly deflated reception due to the taxi's difficulty finding it at night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The indroduction to Jerusalem from the ceiling photos in their dining area perfectly set the tone for the rest of the visit to Israel.
The breakfast buffet was plentiful, the afternoon wine and snacks were brilliant. We loved the location with balcony overlooking the pedestrian walkway. The rooms were nice and the staff was wonderful!

The Harmony hotel is tucked between two small streets. One a pedestrian shopping area. It is a pleasant moderate walk to the Old City. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff is responsive and pleasant. There is a full breakfast with a wide array of choices and complimentary afternoon wine and small plates. All meals can be enjoyed on a lovely second floor terrace or in the dining area.

This hotel is a hidden treasure and highly recommended. We hated to leave.

A pleasant little hotel with charm and warmth. A short walk to the Old City and shopping. Breakfast was more than ample and very good. Staff was very helpful and eager to assist. The room was large enough and very clean. Complimentary late afternoon snacks were offered. Would recommend this hotel.
