Unlike in other restaurants in Israel, these guys actually serve you like you will tip them (whether or not thats on your conscience). The food was good. We decided on this restaurant, although there were another 2 in the same location, because it was completely full when we arrived, we took it as an indication of quality. The food and service were good, admittedly it a bit on the expensive end but worth it. Considering the culture of serving salads with main dishes, we did not find it necessary to order appetizers, and with two main courses, there was just no more room for desert or coffee. I would definitely recommend it to those who visit, especially because it has such a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean - visit for lunch or during the daylight hours. Afterward, we walked down the mountain to the Bat Galim neighborhood and along the promonade by the sea (you can return back to Stella Maris via the cable car - during the operating hours) or walk back up (and burn the extra calories you will consume at this place!!!) I definitely recommend Kalamaris and would frequent it again!
