“Impressive view on Haifa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

I spent a few days in Haifa, and the Nof Hotel was a nice part of my stay.
The hotel is a little basic, the restaurant has a chinese only menu, but the view from the room was really impressive.
I will go there again the next time.

Nof is clean and in a great location. If you can't tolerate worn furniture etc., this isn't the place for you. In fact, it's kind of surprising how clean the hotel is, and how good the breakfast is given the apparent wear-and-tear. I would stay again.

Stay above the 5th floor for a spectacular view.

I recently went to Haifa for 10 days on a pilgrimage to the Baha'i Holy Places in Haifa, Akka and the area and after lots of hesitation I booked a superior room at the Nof Hotel, for 2 reasons: to save around USD40 per night compared to the Dan Carmel and to be in a very convenient place relative to the top entrance to the Baha'i garden terraces on Mount Carmel. When I arrived the desk clerks told me they did not have my reservation....and had no superior rooms left. After 10-15 minutes of them looking everywhere but not finding my reservation I called the booking web site I had used and they called the hotel to help them. After another 10 minutes they found it because of the help they got. As soon as I got to the room I saw the carpeting was quite stained, and not very clean looking.....and the bed was very hard. I put up with this, and the breakfast was good, but the place really needs renovation badly, as it is I found it mediocre and over priced.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money and stay at one of the best hotels in town if you can

I stayed at the Nof three nights while visiting the Baha'i Shrines in the Haifa vacinity. I was traveling alone and wanted something moderately priced and well located. The Nof offerred both. Rooms and facilities were not spectacular, but the hotel was clean and the Baha'i Shrines were minutes away by walking. The Nof is located on the prominade at the top of Mt. Carmel overlooking the Shrines and the Bay. Couldn't ask for a better location. The morning breakfast was adequate but not spectacular. No complaints.

We stayed here during our pilgrimage, it was a nice hotel. Located at the top of the mountain. The staff were friendly but the rooms were a little outdated and some furniture smelt musky. It was close to the shops and we had no trouble catching a Sherut and the bus stop was just outside the hotel. Breakfast was a large variety but they could do with better wifi in the bedrooms. All in all lovely people and good location.

We traveled to Haifa for the weekend Festival of Three Religions on 29/30-12-2012,Nof Hotel was overall a very pleasant experience .Desk:helpful,efficient&polite.Room:Spacious,comfortable Fresh Fruits on the table.panoramic view of Haifa Bay.Breakfast:Very Rich, lots of fresh vegetables. The Service in the dining hall and in the hotel generally-is excellent.Parking:Small &crowded but the Doorman went out of his way to find us a place. The hotel has been renovated and upgraded since we have last been here some 10 years ago.We are sure to stay here the next time we come to stay in Haifa.

Room Tip: Great View from rooms on 5th floor.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times - the view is spectacular, the breakfast is ample, and the service (front desk) is terrible. This last time we brought another couple with us (we were serving with Sar-El on an army base and needed a nice place for the weekend). This hotel was to give us a discount because we served with Sar-El (they had in the past). We tried to settle our bill the night before we had to leave, and they balked about the discount. We gave them the email address and the fax number of the person in charge of the Sar-El program at the front desk's request (they never smile). They said they were never able to get in touch with this person (they had the above information for 2 days), and no discount would be given. We were assured when we made the reservation that we would get the discount, both the couple traveling with us, and us. This didn't happen, the people at the reception desk are horrible, and we won't be back. Sar-El also knows this hotel will not honor the discount promised. Too bad. The discount did not involve that much money, but when you're told you will receive it, and then don't...

Room Tip: try to get a room that looks out over the port - beautiful
