“Total relaxation great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014 via mobile

Stayed in the hotel with my wife for three nights. It was amazing to wake up every morning to the sound of birds singing. The hotel is situated in a forest high up on the carmel mountain near Haifa so the view from the room is all green. There is quiet all the time. Cell phones are forbiden in the public areas. The service of the staff is exceptinal. All the meals are gourmet and healthy food. The place to windout from all the stress of the modern life.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful resort originally built for holocaust survivors. It is situate on mount Carmel . The resort and grounds are very lovely well maintained and offer a peaceful location to unwind. We were allocated a garden room with secluded terrace the room was spacious and the amenities generous.

The spa facilities are excellent and offer a very wide range of treatments a little pricy but worthwhile. The dining room and it's service is an area for improvement. At night the service was very slow., as a result we went to the lobby lounge for a hot drink to find that at 9.45 the waitress was closing up and no facilities were available. For an hotel of this size and reputation this is poor.

The food in the dining room however is very good during the day, breakfast. and lunch have generous buffets, but at night the first two courses are buffet and the latter too are served far too slowly . The staff were all very pleasant and with the exception of the lobby lounge were very caring.

Room Tip: It depends on the time of the year floors 6 and 7 have no balconies floors 3 4 5 and1 have balconies

we stayed (three sisters) in cramel forest hotel for one night and had a magnificent time!
the hotel is a not fancy at the first look, but the atmosphere, food, service and spa are just wonderful.
the place is absolutely beautiful - inside the nature, sorrunded by the forest, very quite. without kids running around.
the food is excellent and the spa is perfect - you just have to go. enjoy.

A beautiful property and good location, it was very nice to visit. While the stay We received a magnificent treatment. The room and the hotel were clean and neat, therefore the ambient and the environment were peaceful and quite, a fact that increased the nature of the place. It was definitely a success, a pleasure to visit.

the hotel looks a bit old and in need of renovation.
maintenance not in high standard as you expecte from a luxury hotel.
but the atmosphere is very relaxing and the view is stunning.
food was tasty but not fine or luxury standard.
staff were all (with no exception) nice and very professional.
all in all a good experience as long as you don't expect it to be "exclusive".

To celebrate my 80th (!) my husband and I were treated to two nights at this really very excellent resort.

I cannot speak highly enough of the room with the flower petalled bedspread, leading onto a patio overlooking green tress and acres of beautiful garden with outside pool way down there. We were treated to beautiful white gowns and slippers hanging in the bathroom and packed also near the bed - which was so comfortable to sleep on.
No cell phones are allowed within the main areas and children under 16 also not welcome to disturb ther absolute peace and quiet of this lovely place.
The food was outstanding, as was the service. Wonderful menus, fresh cooked, each a work of art, all prepared with the most natural ingredients available. And the breakfast buffet is fit for kings and queens.

The spa itself, where I treated myself , was spotless and perfectly run, with so many therapies I had difficulty choosing which ones to enjoy. The indoor pool is glass surrounded to see far out into the garden and the surrounding forest.

Each area and nook of this place is filled with just the right photos and pictures and elegant sculptures to enhance the peace and beauty of the surroundings.

And the weather was just wonderful, cool and energising., in March.

I am not sure how to download a photo from my camera, but I would say go visit yourself and just revive and relax in the most perfect way possible.

And by the way, |I dont get a thing for saying all this!! :)
|I just mean it.

June Bernard Levy,
Israel.

.

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor, beneath the dining area and just over the spa.

Carmel Forest Spa Resort is one of the most luxurious hotels in Israel and the prices are very high. the hotel was built in the 60's and it shows.. You see a lot of wear and tear around, although it is very clean and taken care of.
The staff was very nice and polite and food was not bad but we expected more at that price range.

Room Tip: try to get high floor and facing west. The view to the see is amazing!!!
