“A very pleasant stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

The hotel is in the middle of the forest. It has a very large garden, when you can walk, make jogging, read a book when listen to the birds, admire a lot of flowers..
The outside pool was not open yet (it was March)!!!.

The inside pool is very clean, large and nice. Near the pool you can have (free of charge) a cup of tea and fruits. There were only few people inside of the pool, so it was very pleasant.

It is a very quiet hotel, it is forbidden to use cellular phones in public areas, and you can not come to this hotel with cildren under 16 y.o.

The rooms are spaciuos, we slept very well on the confortable bed. In the evening they come to give you fresh towels and any cosmetics if you need.

We had full board, which was too much! All the meals were excelent. At dinner and at lunch you have free salat and soup bar, then the main course you order from the menu. The same about dessert. We had to pay only for drinks.
In the day when we left we don't want to wait till the lunch, so we received a lunch box to take with us.

The WiFi is free only in the lobby, where is a special room with computers. In the room you have to pay for it (a lot).

I stayed at this hotel a year ago but still have not forgotten the wonderfull experience !!!
Every thing is at the top of the scale: food, rooms, staff, spa and more.
Cant wait to go back to this excellent hotel.

Recently I stayed 2 nights at the hotel. The hotel is located in the midst of the forest quite isolated and with beautiful views. The gardens are too well kept and spacious. The room ( the standard one ) wasn't large but well appointed with all you need and adequate considering one only slept in it. The public areas are spacious, well-maintained and quiet ( no cell phones allowed ). The spa has a huge range of treatments and there is a large indoor pool and a gym. The outdoor pool was closed because of the weather. The staff were professional and very polite. What was outstanding was the food. Every meal ( and the stay comes with full board ) was just a delight both in vision and taste. It was like eating in a Michelin 3 star restaurant 3 times a day. Every day there was a different menu and the only complaint could be that it was so exquisite that one just couldn't resist it !! This is my third visit there and it is better than ever. Keep it up - number 1 resort hotel in Israel by far.

Room Tip: choose a room with a terrace for a small extra cost

This is a very nice luxury hotel and spa. It's beautiful, very special and has a relaxing atmosphere from the first minute. The food is probably the best I ever had in any hotel, healthy gourmet food at it's best. Go for the rooms with the private terrace, it makes all the difference in the world.
Cellphone use is banned in the hotel (you can only use it in your room), so you can only relax and enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: Rooms with the private terrace are worth it.

Just returning from another wonderful day at the Carmel Forest Spa Resort. Everything was a expected and no disappointment here.
But, as 'nigor' in his review said, change is long overdue.
We came at a day crowded with doctors having a convention. Apart from the feeling that in case of a medical emergency we would have ample resources, the atmosphere was one of being in a beehive....
Also I subscribe to 'nigor' 's observation that the staff was although helpful and friendly, were not professionally trained nor professionally supervised.

Room Tip: Although a minor detail, if you like to see the sea from your bed, ask for a room with a even number...

3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

I have been visiting Carmel Forest for well over 10 years and whichever time of the year I stay it is always full to capacity with both residents and non-residents.
At the same time very little has changed in the appearance and the standard of the amenities provided except that nowadays it is classified by Isrotel as part of its Exclusive Collection which presumably serves to justify its expensive price tag and which perhaps lends cache to those groups of employees who are rewarded by a day's package deal - so much for exclusivity!
As a result of its own success Carmel Forest doesn't really need to try very hard especially as it doesn't have much in Israel in the way of direct competition.
Trying to pre-book spa treatments over the telephone took 3 emails and 3 separate telephone calls with helpful but inept spa reception staff who took it upon themselves to designate an (unwanted) male therapist for a wrap treatment for my Wife;the treatments whilst pleasant and satisfactory were nothing special to write home about.
Again and again the staff, mainly young Kids, both at Reception and in the Restaurant were keen to be helpful but not terribly competent and there is no sense of anyone visible taking charge, supervising and managing the establishment in a professional manner.
Whilst the location and the setting is undoubtedly superb the fact remains that Carmel Forest Spa could be so much better than it is currently.
The large hotel groups in Israel have enjoyed virtual monopolies for many years but are now facing increasing competition from the burgeoning boutique hotel sector who are beginning to carve out an increasing share of the lucrative travel market.
Carmel Forest Spa Hotel may satisfy the majority of first time visitors but for the discerning traveller Isrotel ought to have a thorough examination of one of its jewels in its crown as well as a very good look over its shoulder!

In The middle of the green forest of Mount Carmel, a peaceful nature reserve, you find yourself in the center of this nice estate, quiet serenity, inspires you immediately the right atmosphere.
A wide range of spa treatments, indoor and outdoor pool, Jacuzzi. Hammam, relaxing balconies in front of a lovely view.
Wake up in the morning at the chirping birds, take a walk in and around this beautiful site, get a quality massage, eat chef meals three times a day, sleep at a concert of howling jackals. Nature Pursuant.
