Description: A bar, popular with students, I was told. Good atmosphere on a Friday night, but solid also during the week. Musik loud, but a good mixture of classic pop and rock. They have two floors. Good food and many people are regulars who know the bar people by name. If you are not a regular though, you can tranquility spend serveral hours observing what is going on and not get the least of attention by the staff, even if you are sitting smack in front of them at the bar. Which may be just as good, since they have a good selection of really good Cognac (including XO) and Whiskeys, but if you want to drink something more substantial than a beer, you will have to put between 35 to 165 shekel on the table.

“A typical bar with a slight pub feeling”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2011

If you want to have a good choice of Cognac or Whiskey, and you like a place where the crowd goes, this may be a place to go. I was told that it is very popular with the student crowd of Haifa. Though I suspect from a view at the menu, that it would cater to the students of upper middle class families only. It is big, two stories high. One place is reserved for non-smokers, the other for smokers. The action though is in the smoker division. The music is extreamly loud but a good quality 80s pop and rock. Many of the people are regulars who know the names of the barmen and are known by them by name.
If you want a drink, or any type of service, you need to be rather resourefull, as you can tranquily sit for two hours just at the bar right infront of the barmen/women and not get served at all, even when you have told them that after they finish doing the drink they are doing right now, you would like to order. Maybe just as well, as it is enjoyable to observe the crowd, the bottles at the bar and the barpeople and you can save yourself the money. Prices for drinks range between 35 and 165 Shekel a glass. If you want it cheaper, stick with the beer. There can be a waiting line outside the door.
