If you want to have a good choice of Cognac or Whiskey, and you like a place where the crowd goes, this may be a place to go. I was told that it is very popular with the student crowd of Haifa. Though I suspect from a view at the menu, that it would cater to the students of upper middle class families only. It is big, two stories high. One place is reserved for non-smokers, the other for smokers. The action though is in the smoker division. The music is extreamly loud but a good quality 80s pop and rock. Many of the people are regulars who know the names of the barmen and are known by them by name.
If you want a drink, or any type of service, you need to be rather resourefull, as you can tranquily sit for two hours just at the bar right infront of the barmen/women and not get served at all, even when you have told them that after they finish doing the drink they are doing right now, you would like to order. Maybe just as well, as it is enjoyable to observe the crowd, the bottles at the bar and the barpeople and you can save yourself the money. Prices for drinks range between 35 and 165 Shekel a glass. If you want it cheaper, stick with the beer. There can be a waiting line outside the door.
