“Delightful Older Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Okay, it's not the Ritz, but a Ritz or Hilton would be out of place on this charming street in the old German Colony section of Haifa. The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable and quiet, and for a small hotel, the breakfast buffet is bountiful. The hotel staff are very helpful. The rooms have a one liter bottle, and when we asked where we could more nearby, the desk clerk just smiled and said, "I'll give you more!"

There are quirky things, like a small lobby and one tiny elevator to bring your luggage from the street to the main lobby where a full size elevator goes to higher floors, but if appreciate older hotels, they won't bother you. You are walking distance to restaurants and the awesome Bahá’í World Centre and gardens.

Room Tip: If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room off the street -- there are plenty.

I stay in this Hotel frequently for Work, and I like to come back every time I have a chance. The Hotel originally was built by a German Templer Family ij the 19 Century, was restored and renovated a couple of years ago. It still has that old charm of a family Hotel, as the staff is nice and friendly and helpful. Breakfast is Fabulous, big selection of pastry, salads, Eggs, coffee, bread, and juice. I will come again.

Stayed here two nights. Our room was incredibly small. We had difficulty finding a place for our suitcases. Mattresses are comfortable, and bathrooms are adequate. Hotel is conveniently located close to restaurants and entertainment. The flip side is that the carousing and noise goes on until about 2am, making sleep difficult. Nice rooftop area with great views of the Bahai gardens. Good breakfast. Wifi works wonderfully or not at all.
A note on safety... Sidewalks in front of the hotel are made of limestone. When it rains they become as slippery as ice. Be careful!

We arrived the hotel to celebrate our 1 year anniversary... we took the Deluxe room and it was great. The Hotel has European characteristics and was great place to stay.
The rooms and the hotel are clean and neat.
Good Value for Money (though not cheap).
I have recommended the place to family and colleagues and advise you to visit the Place.

Room Tip: Choose the high floor room facing the Bahai Garden's (Check the Pictures) - Room 401/2. There i...

Average hotel, friendly personnel. Rich breakfast buffet, kosher. If you need the wifi you will go insane as the system us almost useless. Skype and viber do notvwork at all. In 2012 this matters a lot for the modern traveller.

Like everyone else, I will tell you that this is the best located hotel in Haifa. You are close to many excellent restaurants & can walk to the base of the Bahai Gardens. There are also a couple of museums in the other direction, towards the sea. Our room was large and clean, with a big bathroom. There were lots of choices for breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful and although we were on the main floor, we could see the dome of the shrine from our window.

Nicely renovated historic building. Nice rooms with all amenities including fluffy robes and coffee and tea making facilities. Very extensive and delicious breakfast buffet in a nice dining room. Friendly staff. Right in the German Colony which is the most beautiful and interesting part of Haifa, with lots of great cafes and restaurans, all with a nice outdoor section under old trees, right next door. The Bahai garden is literally right up the alley! Private parking is available just behind the hotel, (Go around the block as it is on a one way street leading onto the main boulevard) so very convenient if you come by car.

Room Tip: Pay the small extra and get a deluxe with a great view of the Bahai garden from your room windows.
