“As expected ...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2012

When one goes on vacation to Eilat, besides great weather and good food, one expects perfect service and nice surroundings.
That was indeed the case. The meals were outstanding and the service was perfect. But why do they charge for the gym, and the internet, and the jacuzzi ?
Rooms were spacious and clean, but might need some renovation.

Room Tip: Higher floor will reduce noise from the pool area.

We were very luck to get a heavily discounted rate through our bank. This hotel is excellent. The hotel is clean, well located and the food is outstanding. Every day there was a different menu for dinner and breakfast that was innovative and fresh. When we had a problem with the first room we were given, due to noise outside at night, the hotel gave us another room without any argument. I would like to return, whenever the opportunity arises.

Room Tip: Beware of late night noise from billiard playing near the pool.

I took my daughter and grandchildren to stay at this hotel because of a previous visit and the family facilities. WE had a King's floor room and my daughter and grandchildren a standard room. The women on reception were offhand, unhelpful and sarcastic. The gentleman (Jonaton) was polite and helpful. We arrived a day earlier than planned having checked availability to be told that as we had not prebooked we could not stay the first night. Luckily Jonaton overheard and found us rooms straight away.
On asking what was the difference between the rooms I was told quite rudely ' the package' three times without explanation. I only discovered on going to the executive lounge that there was a printed sheet. I then had to ask for face cloths ,towelling robes and sufficient towels having been told they are only provided if you ask !!The face cloths were taken away every other day and not replaced unless asked for.
The manager (Yael) of the Kings lounge was more than offhand . On asking what was on at the cinema she told us to find out ourselves. She was busy chatting to other members of staff.
My wife was horrified to be served at the Burger Ranch restaurant by a waitress who was picking her ear and looking at the contents! She sent back her salad which had human hair in it.
The food was of high standard although it was a pity we were not informed until the third day we could have breakfast in the other restaurant for Kings floor guests.
The lack of training of the staff is terrible and we would not return to this hotel. We have stayed with good experiences at other Isrotels but feel the management of this hotel need to pay far more attention to customer service.

Going to Eliat was an unplanned bonus trip and we got an amazing deal on this hotel. I wasn't expecting much for the price we were paying, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. I did found the front desk staff distracted and while not rude, were rather abrupt, however, the rooms were spotless, the pool area was beautiful and all the other staff were very accommodating. They have some wonderful original artwork in the rooms and the fabric tapestries in the halways are a nice change from the usual cheap prints. And all this is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the airport.

There were a couple downsides, however. I found the lack of free Wifi (in all the hotels in town, not just the King Solomon) a definate disappointment, (for free Wifi, check out Kakao coffee shop on the boardwalk a couple doors down...you can sit on the bench in front or enjoy a really good cup of coffee and catch up on your social media) and was quite surprised that they charged additional money for the use of the gym facilities. Also the back door is often locked, so if you are trying to save time by going through the back way, be prepared to have to walk around the building. I was booked for a trip to Petra and they don't start serving the included breakfast until 8 a.m., so only had one, but it was very well done and a great bonus to our trip.

For the minor problems I encountered, I would still recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Eliat. I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to return.

Room Tip: Anything overlooking the pool also gives you views of the Red Sea and the canal. It's lovely sit...

Second time here and great, the kids love this place, room clean, food great, service good too, pool even warmed to 26 degrees which was nice on a coldish day. Try the spa I had a massage which was amazing, the Turkish bath is a nice addition too. I don't understand why all the elevators don't go to -1 but we got there. Location does not get better here
Great choice for family option

We stayed out of season (March) but were surprised how busy the Hotel was. On the plus side we have to say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Whatever we asked for was accommodated with a friendly smile. Really fantastically hospitable staff.

Disappointed by initial room allocation - just above restaurant but were moved too much better room on 9th floor on request as soon as alternative became available.

Breakfast provides an unbelievable choice of dishes only slightly marred by offering of squash rather than juice. Evening buffet also provides very wide choice of food though a bit limited for vegetarians. Also disappointed not to see a fresh orange on offer - though huge variety of cakes. At times dining room very busy but soon discovered that it empties out quite early in the evening. So best to go to dinner after 8 rather than as recommended by hotel (before 7:30). When the hotel is busy the dining atmosphere slightly spoilt by number of children running round the hall.

Swimming pools excellent. Although pool very lightly used, lifeguards constantly present and very watchful especially for children too close to pool edge or not properly supervised by parents.

Overall very pleased with hotel would certainly be happy to recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for high room with pool view - will be quieter than low room and larger and afford sea view.

Our vacation was great.
The room was nice & big enough for all of us (2+3).
The stuff of the hotel is very helpful & nice.
Our children played all day at the kid's kingdom, the stuff there is working hard to make them busy in different activities.
Breakfast was also a nice surprise, as it includes a lot of different dishes that you don't usually see, all of them very tasty.
Our children declared that this is the best hotel in Eilat, they didn’t want to leave & go home!

Room Tip: I prefer the Garden rooms with pool view - they big with large balcony
