“Weekend in Eilat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We arrived for a long weekend (3 nights). The atmosphere at the hotel was good, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Furnitureד are old and requires renovation / renewal. The food is good but not more than that. The hotel was full and it was felt crowded at the buffet in the dining room. The hotel isfar away from the city, so if you want to get to Eilat you must use your car because you can do it on foot. Generally it was nice and we enjoyed the weekend.

Room Tip: in the upper floors the seaand the landscape look more beautiful

The hotel is situated near the Taba border near probably the best beach in Eilat. The rooms are spacious and the view from them very nice. Breakfast is gargantuan.
But........
The food is at the most average
The hotel is vey very very far from the city and it{s atractions
There is almost nothing to do since the pool is freezing cold and the tenis court scorching hot
This is an hotel for those willing to stay in the room for the all weekend
Others should look for a more central hotel

I stayed for a week at this lovely hotel. What a superb location in a glorious setting.I have nothing but praise for it.....helpful,courteous staff, very good food, and great pool. And I love the design of the Princess set almost literally into the beautiful mountains. And the Red Sea just opposite in which one can dip or swim in from the wooden jetty.Altogether I recommend it highly.

Room Tip: ask for a refurbished room.

We stayed in this hotel late in October for 2 nights while we did a side trip to Petra. I would have loved to stay here when it was new. The lobby, the setting and the pool are all spectacular. I wanted to buy the place!
But looking more closely, yes the furniture is worn, the rooms need updating, the elevators are amazing but worn. I felt the service was fine.
We loved the setting next to a hill. Looking closely, we could see tiny goat paths. The sunrise over the gulf was outstanding. We had a nice experience!

What a really great hotel, let me start by saying that we stayed here for 3 night 4 days, booked a family room. The Pool was heated to 28 degrees which was the highlight of our stay, most pools in Eilat are not heated as the hotels do not want to pay for the heating costs, but here the guests come first it seems. The food is excellent, room spotless.
We liked being far from town, we did have a car which makes going to town easier. The room we had could do with a refurb soon, the decor is getting old but still a clean room.
The Elevator system is amazing and you never wait more than 5 seconds for the elevator.
You need great people to make a great business and with Elad the Manager at the Reception, Moshe in the dinning room, Rinat who was great with all the room service requests we had, not forgetting Roy who helped with our food requests and Beverly on the eggs every morning was great, thanks for the fried tomatoes!!
A great vacation...Our many thanks!

Hotel is not bad service maintenance an old hotel not god hotel Hotel far from the city needs it or pay for a taxi hotel is located on a mountain a good beach and pool all the rest of the face we stayed with my family for 2 nights we had to change our room due to air-conditioning failure. To sum up: might fit for a corporate weekend, but not for a higher-end (certainly, not for an exclusive) vacation.

Room Tip: "Higher floors have less A/C unit noise

First day in the room: no soap in the bathroom, unable to lock the door to the balcony, the switch of one of the night lamps did not work, the lamp at the entrance was loose and about to fall, the TV remote control did not work. After several phone calls - they fixed most of them.
But still lacking in the room: hotel directory, TV channels directory.
No entertainment by the pool and in the evening, as in the past.
Food: Nice breakfast, but nothing special, standard for israeli hotels. Dinner only in the main buffet restaurant. They used to have 3 special restaurants: international, dairy and chinese. They are all closed. Long waiting queues.
Used to be a 5-star hotel, and it still shows in some areas. They still have the best beach for snorkeling in Eilat, and parking is free.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south (pool side) have a better view.
