“Great Place to dine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2011

I love foie gras and a local recommended Eddie's as a good place to enjoy well prepared foie gras. We made a reservation for Friday night dinner at this lovely non-kosher restaurant off the beaten path. They had foie gras as an appetizer with 3 different sauces on the menu. I ordered it to be served at the same time as my friend's main steak entree. We shared her vegetables & potatoes. For desert we ordered NY Cheesecake which much to my surprise was delicious.
We enjoyed our experience so much we returned for dinner again the next evening.
Service was terrific, ambience enchanting, it reminded me of a French farm house. Price was reasonable.

“Not as Good As Before....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2010

We ate last week at Eddie's Hydeaway thsi year and we made the booking through the Concierge Desk of Dan Eilat where we stayed for 7 nights.
Compared to last year we found the service really excellent and profesional and we were impressed by the very good Isareli's Wine List, but the food....Very disapointing my son and I took an "Eilat Filet of Beef" but there was too much sauce that spoiled the Meat taste completely...
Far from the exuberance of Eilat's shores restaurant Eddie's was a good alternative for a quiet and good diner experience. Not anymore.

“excellent meal and we even had a good bottle of wine!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2010

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by the concierge. Although it was not within walking distance it is well worth the short drive. We had a fantastic meal, one of the best in Israel. Most of us had steak which was very tasty and not fatty. Our server recommended a really good bottle of wine, which surprised us as kosher wine is not always the best. The service was excellent. The restaurant itself is nothing special and ask to sit in the main area as it has better air conditioning. We had a round table, which was nice but the AC was terrible in the back room. Bathrooms very clean too. Very reasonably priced.

“Eddie's has the best food that we tasted in Eilat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2010

The best meal that we had in Eilat was at Eddie’s Hideaway in the town. It is well hidden and has a casual air to it but we had a wonderful meal of goose liver in date sauce followed by steaks, one with a Dijon sauce and another with a creamy mustard, curry and brandy sauce. This all went down very well a Yarden Syrah 2005.

“great restaurant, great food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2010

out of the way so you need to go by cab...but worth the trip. Service was great, Eddie's son is now the manager and he is warm and friendly and most attentive. The food was great, I had the recommended Denis fish and I usually won't eat fish that has bones in it...this was easy to debone and really delicious. The steak and the chicken also got great revues at our table.
