“best monument ever !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

breathtaking architecture and history! much better than its pictures. Our guide gave us enough time to appreciate all the beautiful work of the building, but still i could spend hours sitting and admiring it. It took the archeologists 7 years to reerrect it, what a great job they've done! top monument in Ephesus ancient city!

“Visit it before noon to take shots of the sunny facade”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

I liked the approach from the upper entrance since you see it from afar and approach it as you follow a street full of curiosities all along the way. The ancients had a great sense of urban planning and excitement.

“Magnificent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

One of the most beautiful, well preserved buildings in Ephesus. This iconic library is situated in what was the centre of the city.

Up a large staircase, a double row of columns frame niches decorated with marble cornices, holding statues representing the virtues of Celsus. The three doors on the ground floor were aligned with the three windows of the upper level, creating a nice balance of symmetry. The richly decorated facade, with plentiful varied reliefs, statues and columns make this a stunning spectacle to behold.Truly breathtaking!
