“Go there winter time in a windy, cold but sunny day...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2012

I went to Isa Bey Mosque in winter time and spent long time at the garden which was surrounded by high walls. I enjoyed the slience, sun and peace. When I heart the Ezan (invitation to praying) I entered into the Mosque...No matter you pray or not you be a muslim or not. You just visit it...

“Imposing Mosque”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

At the foot of the hill with the site of the Basilica of St John above, is Isa Bey Camil Mosque. The area is free to enter and you can readily imagine the haven it has provided for locals for almost 700 years.
Some earthquake damage is evident but the magnificence of the structure still impresses.
Near the mosque are the remains of ancient baths dating from the same period. Although fenced for protection photographs are easily taken.

“An interesting visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2012

It hasn't been maintained very well, which is a shame but it's worth a visit. I wish there was some brochures or boards with information about the mosque.
