“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

The service was great and the staff all very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The atmosphere is fantastic, in the centre of Selcuk. We sat outside and it was very relaxing as the street outside is closed to traffic. Also good value for money.

“Storks and all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Friendly staff, delicious food at very reasonable prices after Istanbuls overpriced mediocrity. Positioned to make the most of the ancient aqueducts and their in residence Stork families the view highlights the towering structures. Our waiter was polite, helpful and accommodating. The bread and thick hummus that accompanied our Salma were delicious, the best we have had so far.Cooked in their own pide oven it wasn't so thin that it turned into a crisp as it cooled but stayed moist and scrumptious throughout the meal. The vine leaves stuffed with rice were served with a really light yoghurt and simple salad. My Adana kebab was spicy but not dry with a simple rocket and tomato salad i loved it, the Nur special mixed meats, cooked in a clay tile was succulent. After some very average meals this was the Turkish taste we had been looking for.

“Good food, Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

We were referred to Nur Restaurant from Nur Pension where wer stayed for 2 nights. The restaurant is apparently run by the pension owner's brother. We were served by a young man who was the restaurant owner's son; he was a very pleasant and efficient waitron. The food was delicious! We had a cheese pide, stuffed vine leaves (dolma), chicken shish kebab and a green salad. To drink we had a glass of wine, one beer and a 1L bottle of water. The total came to TL42, which is very reasonable for 3 people. The restaurant is located on a square, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Would happily eat there again!

“Honest Friendly food in Selcuk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

After spending some time in Istanbul the trip to Selcuk was a breath of fresh air. Far away it seemed from the constant haggling of the restauranters of the inner streets of downtown Sultanamet. Along the quiet streets of Selcuk we came across Nur Restaurant and after viewing the wood fired oven through the window and value for money styling of the decor I could not help but sit down. The food here came out lightning fast, with fresh bread straight from the wood fired oven. Fast, tasty, fresh simple food. Everything you want from an evening in a quiet town. The staff were very cool and tentative to how we were going. After dinner we were brought free tea by the owner and asked if we wanted a photo op at the oven with the chef. How could you refuse that! Great value, about $US 13.00 for two adults just drinking soda/fizzy drink and plenty of bread. Yep I would go back tomorrow.
