“Something Different in Selcuk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2014

It was great to find this place in Selcuk, which serves a different type of menu from every other eatery in the town (which we were grateful for after a week of very similar meals). The kindly owner is Swiss/Turkish, which perhaps explains the variation in menu choices (and also the lovely little Swiss chocolates served with our drinks)! We had milkshakes, potato roschti, and a most delicious dessert whose name escapes me now - anyway it's the famous and unique dessert served at the cafe - you'll see it on the menu - give it a try!

“Good espresso ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

Go here if interested in a real espresso but be prepared to pay a slight mark up. Random street view and a loud elementary school next door. Turkish coffee is double the price of local establishments.

Lovely location, friendly owner, speedy service.
Food is tasty, fresh and reasonably priced for a good sized portion. Coffee is great, mulberry icecream amazing.

“A haven of peace, with excellent coffee.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

After walking the ruins, shopping and looking, where to go for peace, shade, excellent ice-cream and the best cup of cappachino outside Venice.

St. John Cafe fits the bill. Close to the bus station and Cash Machine. 5 minutes from my favourite Pansiyon, The Boomerang Guest House and away from the busy carpet and gift shops of Selcuk Village centre.

It really is my favourite place to while away an hour.

“Great food and service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

The food is really good, but it's the frappe's and ice cream that make it stand out. The owners are very friendly and the restaurant is clean and comfortable...
